I'm guessing Buffalo and Vintage don't mix, but if someone out there plays Vintage in Buffalo let me know. I'll be moving there in less than a month.

I haven't been able to find out about vintage in Buffalo, but Millenium Games in Rochester used to have some tournaments.  Up here in Southern Ontario we have Stratford tournaments (usually moxen), Untouchables in Mississauga runs quite a few, and 401 Games in Toronto.
If you don't mind travelling.  Be warned that Untouchables does run its own B&R list.
You can find out alot in this area by going to www.mtgontario.com
Just over an hour north of Buffalo is Hamilton where there is always 1-3 small vintage tournaments every week.

Millennium does not hold Vintage tournaments anymore.

So, from the Buffalo/Amherst area, what would you guys recommend as the best place to play in a tournament that is like 2.5 hours or less away?

Untouchables in Mississauga, no question. He runs great tourneys with really good prize structures. There is a 1k event coming up in July.

Cool, thanks. I looked it up on mtgontario... looks like a nice tournament. I won't be moving in until August 1st, so I'll see if I can make a few at a later date. Are the tourneys not posted on TMD? How many people usually show up? Thanks again.

They stopped posting the tourneys and results on TMD because Americans almost never made the trip up, except Paul Mastriano a few times. MTGOntario is all they need to get really good numbers, as almost all Ontario players are on the site. We have gotten 60+ a few times, you can expect most events to be around 30-50 people, although the one last weekend didn't go too well because it was a long weekend and many people were out of town. If you have any more questions about the events or area, send me a PM.

I know there will be a Ontario Vintage championship tourney in November held in Barrie which is not to much further from Toronto that might hold interest.
