Enchantment

When an opponent plays an instant spell, if Hidden Gibbons is an enchantment, Hidden Gibbons becomes a 4/4 Ape creature.

The jump up and scream with glee option seems to have been omitted from the poll.  Consider that my stance.  Unless my opponent is packing tarpans, in which case I'm scared shitless.

Hidden gibbons? Pfft. It seems blatantly clear that you have never had the distinct misfortune of playing against a berserk murlodont.

Tarpan costs 1 mana man, it can come out turn 1!!!! If it dies, you gain a life!

I think you mean "Couldn't care less".  If you "Could care less" that means you have some level of concern.

P.S., Isn't this guy far inferior to Tarmogoyf?

Good catch corrected.

Yes. Definitely.  I'm just fishing for 1cc ideas to plug into an enchantress deck, I'm beginning to believe enchantress will never fly in Vintage.

P.S. "Refreshing Rain" post was a joke.  Unfortunately Hidden Gibbons was not.

Right now this might be true, but I wouldn't say never.  Who knows (mad) what could happen.  Personally I like the 5/3 trampler when an opponent plays an artifact.  Think its called Hidden Gorillas.

It seems like you're being facetious about Tarpan.

Don't be facetious about Tarpan.

That card's a lot better than you can ever hope to be.

Generally, testing a card produces more accurate results than asking what we TMD users believe.

This question definetly depends on your deck, but for most cases i'm pretty sure i wouldn't care.

Fish: Probably would care, but it's not like fish has to play alot of instants against that type of deck.
Control slaver: Should be faster, but CS can definetly loose to beats.
Long/Other combo: Couldn't care less.
Workshops: Urh, they don't play alot of instants anyway.
Oath: Yay! a guy who triggers oath, nice.

All in all, i couldn't care less.

9 Tarpans and 1 Tendrils of Agony is a good one.

10 Tarpans, Mass Hysteria, and Final Fortune!

You're opponents holding 4 Ritual, Decree of Pain, False Cure, just to piss you off.

Also, Tarpan has antisynergy with Final Fortune. Because the game will end in one turn, you can't milk that sweet lifegain out of your Tarpan-Army.
Seriously, just play:
4 Standing Stones
1 Necro
30-40 Tarpan
Forests

This deck owns the Eurpean metagame currently.

By the way, Gibbons pumps 'goyf when dead/discarded. Just saying
