Hi,

Just saw this card on mtgsalvation:

Etherium Sculptor  {1} {U}

Artifact Creature - Vedalken Artificer
Artifact spells you play cost  {1}  less to play.

#42/249 1/2

For me, it looks like the card, we waited for in this edition...

What do you believe? could it change something?

p.s it's an Common...

It's a helm of awakening with legs.  Infinite storm count with 2 SDT.  He could also have other uses taking advantage of his discount and he is synergistic with Trinket Mage.

You can now run Oath with this guy + Magus of the Future and draw your whole deck for free with Sensei's Diving Top.
This guy seems really good to me.

I think more important is the fact that he's a one-sided helm of awakening.  One of the problems with helm is that your opponent's spells are also cheaper: forcing you to hold helm to the last possible moment to break the synergy.  You can drop this guy as early as you want and reap the benefits.

that's what I thought, leplie!

Imagine this as "the ultimate helm man" in egg-star Storm, and with tops ofcourse.
I wouldn't rund it in oath with magus though. It's still a 2-3turn clock (included the one Oath hits the table) and much more vulnerable to REB et. al. as opposed to the other creature options.

Just do it without oath... Use Drains instead.

Also, good to see you on the forums, my brother Qube! Did you already check the mail I wrote?

I will be playing four of these.  I'll worry about the deck later.

Magus of the Future/Future Sight + Sensei's Top + Sculptor = GG Draw Deck.
Double top = Inf. Storm

I can see this working in Sensei, Sensei

And still to come:

Engineered Explosives... with legs!

Necropotence... with legs!

Yawgmoth's Will...  with legs!

Seriously, this leg-fixation is getting out of hand.

Oh, and back in relevant-land, this card is mostly mediocre with the outside chance at extraordinary.  But unlike our other SOL (Stupid On Legs), it isn't good in a variety of decks.
