I haven't seen this discussed on this site, though there isn't too much information out there...

Next From the Vault will be "Relics".  At least, that's the trademark that was recently discovered indicates.

See here:
http://www.mananation.com/vault-relics/

And here:
http://forums.mtgsalvation.com/showthread.php?t=187816

This is probably about a year away, but I'm sure it will be a must for Vintage players (as I considered Exiled to be).

Vintage is a lovely format, it's too bad so few people can play because the supply of power is so small.

Chess really changed when they decided to stop making Queens and Bishops.  I'm just glad I got my copies before the prices went crazy.

MTG Pre Packaged All Foil Sliver Deck.

Sliver Queen probably not included.

Makes my shiny sliver deck kinda not cool anymore.

Normally I do not bother posting here, nor do I think trademarks are usually news worthy, but for a format as vintage, no set names have ever sounded more relevant.  According to Guinea Pig on MTGsalvation.com, the following names have been trademarked by Wizards of the Coast: (I will say in advance that the first thing that came to mind were planechase cards but these really don't sound like planes or parts of them)

Mirrodin Pure
Scars of Mirrodin
New Phyrexia

Actually on those cards what the cost indicated was that Time Walk cost 2 mana, one of which had to be blue.

Not sure where to post this.  But is is LSV's "Channel Fireball" vid on strategy, mostly with pro-tour leanings (Standard, whatever is on the pro-tour agenda).

But this has a lot to do with the psychology of the game and was very informative.

We all use psychology in our game every now and then (you opponent keeps running their mouth? you shut up.  You opponent plays fast?  Either keep up (and maybe play their game) or play slow (and dictate the tone as best you can).

I've played against LSV many a time, and observed his matches many times (albeit always in a Vintage context), and one couldn't ask for a more courteous opponent), but still the shady tactics that are legal!  Revealed!

Smile

EDIT:

TMD's own Webster made it into MTG.com's tourney update pics!

Sorry I post here.... But Im new here, and I rellay need to find out how to post a new thread. I have an urgent question, but I cant find any buttons that says "post a new thread". Can anyone help me?

Some boards are restricted to Basic Users (10 posts or more) or Full Members, and other boards to New Users (1 - 9 posts). Users with 0 posts are ungrouped, and generally can't do much until they start posting.

So December 1 has come and gone.  When are the DCI B/R updates now?

They all happen on the 20th of each month now. If the 20th falls on a Saturday or Sunday the announcement is made on the Friday prior.

They changed it last December so that it wouldn't conflict with the 2008 World Championships and so they could use those results to help in any decisions they made.

//EDIT: Here's the original announcement.

Landfall - Whenever a land joins the battlefield under your control you may discard a card, if you do Bazaar Trader deals three damage to target creature or player.

Worthy of being a rare?

It's much more likely to be "landfall - draw 2 discard 3".

If true, it'd be THE turn one drop for the Earwig Squad deck since you could both put cabal therapy in the grave (to be flashed back) and find Earwig Squad.  Also combos in sick ways with Patriarch's Bidding and Living Death: both very playable in the aggro mirror.

I don't see enough space for 'graveyard and hand'; several posters at MTGS seem to think it's just 'hand'.  Some additional evidence:

It would have to be 'graveyard and hand', since we can see the end of 'hand', that has appeared only on Time Spiral, while five cards have used 'hand and graveyard'.  Interesting that it hasn't been consistent throughout.

My guess for the ultimate is:
Exile target player's library, then
that player shuffles their hand into his
or her library.

Or, more active, and avoiding "their":
Exile target player's library, then
shuffle that player's hand into his
or her library.

Yeah, you're right, maybe they're bringing back 'remove from the game'?

Seriously, 'exile all cards in target player's library'?

More of Jace was spoiled today, including the cost of its abilities :
+2 : Fateseal/Scry 1
0 : Brainstorm
-1 : Unsummon
-12 : exile library, shuffling hand in (now absent) library

That's pretty impressive. Tezzeret is the only planeswalker played in Vintage, because of his enormous synergy with Vault, I wonder if this new Jace could make the cut ? A free Brainstorm each turn looks pretty good, and the -1 bounce is nice too.
