Lemme just say that I am a magic player in distress, I used to have a playgroup where the environment was a wonderful, casual environment.  We would make decks that were not tournament decks, and play a great deal of multiplayer.  Then I moved away for college, and moved to a place where the only environment I could find was a cutthroat Limited tournament scene.  My idea of casual is using good cards (no proxies tho) from all expansions and parts of magic history in interesting synergy, or my favorite thing to do... use really amazing support cards to power out an unexpected win condition.  I don't really mind using power in my decks mainly because I have them, and I don't really have a playgroup to create a schism of unfairness.  I also am a Timmy to the core and LOVE expensive, stupidly overpowered cards, but don't particularly want to use them to make some broken combo (I don't really like combo).  My goal is to keep the support (power, etc.) together and find a way to power out creatures as opposed to infinite mana/damage/etc.  I am basically trying to keep this deck together for my own amusement, but consequently have no one to discuss with or ask opinions of... so here is the deck:

CREATURES:
4 Eternal Witness
3 Dark Confidant
3 Juzam Djinn
3 Masticore
1 Darksteel Colossus

ARTIFACTS:
1 Black Lotus
1 Mox Emerald
1 Mox Jet
1 Mox Pearl
1 Mox Ruby
1 Mox Sapphire
1 Mana Crypt
1 Mana Vault
1 Lotus Petal
1 Sol Ring
1 Memory Jar

SORCERIES:
1 Demonic Tutor
1 Imperial Seal
1 Ponder
1 Regrowth
1 Time Walk
1 Tinker
1 Timetwister
1 Yawgmoth's Will

INSTANTS:
4 Dark Ritual
4 Fire / Ice
1 Mystical Tutor
1 Ancestral Recall
1 Brainstorm
1 Vampiric Tutor

LANDS:
4 Underground Sea
3 Overgrown Tomb
2 Watery Grave
3 Polluted Delta
1 Library of Alexandria
2 Tropical Island

Any suggestions would be great, if not thanks for taking the time to read my post Smile

Sorry this is so old, maybe you've solved the issue by now, but...

Dark Confidant simply is not a casual card. He is only as good as he is when you've streamlined your deck as much as possible, to be fast and cheap and brutal, and not casual at all.

(Furthermore, it's always a good idea for your casual decks to also function competently as multiplayer decks, which Juzam and DarkC won't do.)

Tinker-Colossus is also pretty hardcore Spike - Tinker itself is fine if you're getting goofy artifacts like the upcoming Obelisk of Alara, but the T-C play just murders opponents fast and unstoppably, so it's not very fun.

I also notice you have Fire//Ice but only Ruby and Lotus for red sources. Add a Volcanic or Badlands or something? Let's assume you do that, or drop F/I altogether. If you go this latter route, try Putrefy as a replacement (Deed nukes your moxen).

I would also recommend upgrading Tombs to Bayous - if you can afford Juzams, you can get Bayous. Also, you might want at least one basic Swamp in here, to take advantage of random effects like Land Tax or Ghost Quarter.

Powerful, but slower, black spells like Damnation fit well, but we'll also need some more creatures since I kind of gutted the threat base. Ideally they won't require more than BB in the cost, so your off-color power mana can help them out. Since you have green anyway, you might try Spiritmonger out (always a favorite!) or Vulturous Zombie, which is quite silly in multiplayer but also respectable in duels.

If you don't mind exposing your nonbasics (and from your manabase you clearly don't), Trygon Predator is a fine early guy who also shores up a big weakness in your list (artifacts and enchantments). Old timer Hypnotic Specter could also see play here.

Thanks for the post.  Since I put this up I actually have basically stripped the deck of most of its threats (Juzam, F/I, Bob, Witness, 'Core traded for Tezz / Vault, and Tendrils), kept much of the shell, and gone more into a Vintage pet deck... I took most of the removed items to improve other decks that were lacking.  I may post those at some point for any guidance.  I appreciate the response Matt, lets me know I have a place to chat Magic.
