I've been testing with Parallel Thoughts alot lately and in a format so full of combo and Draw 7s (including unrestricted ones like Time Spiral and Diminishing Returns) this card is often a tutor for 7 cards. It lets you draw your dream hand and often gets pretty ridiculous. What do you all think?

Yes, you get to draw your dream hand. It also costs 5, meaning you'll need that dream hand just to cast Parallel Thoughts. Plus the fact that, if you're drawing 7 cards at once, they're trying to go off, meaning your "dream hand" will be wonderful to look at while you die.

Best case scenario, it could serve as a mono-blue solution to combo (go find 7 counterspells), but even then, it's worse than, say, Stifle.

I was thinking more of using it in a Combo build and Bargain costs 6 while Gifts cost 4 so 5 doesn't seem that bad to me. All draw 7s aside from Wheel of Fortune and Timetwister cost more than 3 as well.

I think what Xyre was getting at is that trying to play out the combo in a single turn is too mana exhaustive, which I would agree.

EDIT: Specifically, I used to run a single Parrallel thoughts in my Xcc back when scourge was first printed. It was a terrible idea; anytime I could have played the spell I needed to play something else in order to maintain control of the board. If something as slow as an old style Keeper deck couldn't fit it in back then, how can you expect Storm Combo to utilize it with no extra innovation in mana accelerance? It's hard enough to cast bargain for six mana let alone an additional card for five mana that merely supports it.
