Regardless of attendance the 1st place Mox Ruby is GUARANTEED to be given out.

We have had solid results in the past, so I am really not worried about the attendance numbers, so no matter the players, the Ruby will be given out   Very Happy

Also, those who know me, know that we stand behind our prize support no matter the format, this is no different with Vintage events for us.  Those who attended any of the 400.00 cash tournaments know that with numbers like 26 players I still gave away 400.00 CASH plus a playset of Force of Wills, Dual Lands and cool prizes to the top 8.

Any questions, comments or suggestions, post them here or shoot me an email, I will try and check the thread once a day or so.

These are the best tournaments in New England currently, and deserve more attendance.
There's no reason 35-40 people shouldn't be showing up for a GUARANTEED mox/drain for 25 bucks.  Tournament prize structure just doesn't get better then that.

The only thing I could recommend for the next tournaments is that you number the tables, but it wasn't that big a deal in august because we all basically know each other in the vintage community.

Maybe more people would show up if you stuck around to hang out with us afterwards instead of ditching everyone after going 0-2.   Smile

Seriously though, myself and some others are working to revive the tradition of actually socializing before, during, and especially after these things.  So definitely come for the awesome prizes, but stay for the insane Angelo Santiago stories and other hijinx later.

It's worth the drive just to hear the stories, nevermind the actual magic tournament

Sadly, I will be unable to partake in sending Travis' car home early this time.  There is a party for my friend's 30th that night, something that I cannot miss.

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone would be willing to give me a ride from either Waltham (Brandeis) or Downtown Cambridge to get to this event. Shoot me a PM if you can

Thanks,

We will have Pizza(By the slice or Pie) , Ice Cream, Soda and more for food.

I read this as "Ice Cream Sodas" and thought..."Man, I LOVE ice cream floats."

Alas, the last event was run so well, I am going to try to come to this one too.

RIP Mogg Fanatic...at least you are still better than Fire Bowman!!!

I was once asked on MWS, what the highest I ever finished at a TMD Open was.  I replied, "I've never played in a Waterbury.  I was then called "A TOTAL NOOB!"

To be fair I don't think the TO would stop you from combining the two. If you so desired. Razz

Will be in Maine Sad, but everyone should try to make this event.  Was a good time last month, with great competition. I also predict Ichorid/dredge/whatever its called now to make a killing, since I saw people had 4 or less cards in their boards at the last few tourneys.

Tell you what, Travis.  If you manage to get yourself out of the 0-2 bracket to face me, I'll concede one game to you straight out of the gates to give you a fighting chance.  But even then I don't like your odds, given that you haven't finished Swiss rounds with a positive record since the last presidential administration.

Bill Copes will be in the house.  This is an official pre-registration, if any are in fact being taken.  I'll be playing Tezz.  @Everybody:  Go easy on me . . . it's my first day.

Best of luck with this one.  I'll be teaching my 10 month old daughter the finer points of post Zen Dredge all day.  Landfall is so much easier to teach than upkeep triggers.

I was going to blame obama for me not winning at magic any more but then I realized that some people who post here would actually think I'm serious and try to recruit me into some right wing militant group ready to take on the government alongside Glenn Beck.
