Well, I'm hoping to run another Xtreme Open next year.  I would love not to lose money on this one, so here's what I'm looking at:

Time: early to mid-spring, so probably May.  Saturday and Sunday again, same hours, etc.
Location: Xtreme Games again.

Price: $30 again
Format:
Day 1: 10-proxy Vintage, $1 per proxy over that up to 15
Prizes:
1st: Black Lotus UL
2nd: Ancestral Recall UL
3rd: Mox Sapphire UL
4th: Time Walk UL
5th-8th: English Mana Drain or possibly something else in the $100 range

Day 2: Sanctioned Legacy
1st: 16 blue duals (4 of each)
2nd: 12 nonblue duals (4 Taiga, 4 Bayou, 4 Savannah)
3rd: 6 nonblue duals (2 Plateau, 2 Scrubland, 2 Badlands) and 4 Tarmogoyf OR 4 Force of Will
4th: 6 nonblue duals (2 Plateau, 2 Scrubland, 2 Badlands) and 4 Tarmogoyf OR 4 Force of Will
5th-8th: 4 blue fetches or 6 nonblue fetches

I would raise prize support with attendance.  This way I don't have to have 100 people to break even, especially with an additional $200+ per day for judges.

I'm in! I hear LordHomerKitten having a book signing in conjunction with your tourney.

Remember, you can't judge a book by its cover.

Myself and 1-2 other people (Bloomington IL is not exactly a hotbed of vintage players) would make the trek up there again, should this get planned.  Like at your last tournament, we would most likely only be able to attend day 1.

The 2-day, 2-Tournament thing is great and realy makes it worth driving the 8 hours one-way.  That prize structre is based on how many people?  While I'm not personally much of a legacy player I'm sure I could get a deck together to play.

Something like 80 day 1 and 60-70 day 2.

I'm looking forward to when you have the dates set so that I can book at least one hotel room.

middle of june seemed like an amazing time to hold a large tournament, the majority of the country is just getting out of college and wanting to travel.

I'd try to make this. Maybe with this much notice I can pick a deck and learn how to play it ahead of time.

Chicago, IL.
This isn't really Chicago. It's more like by the border of Wisconsin and Illinois.

I wouldn't mind seeing you try and run two of these a year. I know that sounds greedy seeing as I didn't even make the last out one but a summer winter ones or spring fall ones would be sick. Other than that I would agree that June might be the best rout to go since people will be back from school and have free time on there hands. Also might want to think about January since the same thing apply s and people will have extra money from Christmas. Only problem with a winter event would be driving.

I have pretty much 100% ruled out a winter event for that reason.

i doubt i would be able to compete. I'll update this as the event moves more from the abstract to the real.
