I know I have posted some strange decks in the past, but this takes the cake for sure. Basically I just wanted to see if I could build a competitive Squirrel Craft deck, and I think in some regards, I succeeded. It's no perfect by any means, and by the scale of combo decks in Vintage it's sorely lacking in comparison to Vault/Key. Still it was a fun deck to play and maybe someone else may pick up the Squirrel Craft mantle.

Squirrel Craft ( Null Craft maybe as a title?)

Creatures: 5
4 Dark Confidants
1 Inkwell Leviathan

Instants: 15
4 Force of Will
4 Mana Drain
2 Daze
1 Misdirection
1 Brainstorm
1 Vampiric Tutor
1 Hurkyl's Recall
1 Ancestral Recall

Socery: 6
1 Demonic Tutor
1 Imperial Seal
1 Life from the Loam
1 Tinker
1 Ponder
1 TimeWalk

Enchantments: 8
3 Earthcraft
3 Squirrel Nest
2 Mirri's Guile

Artifacts: 7
3 Null Rod
1 Black Lotus
1 Lotus Petal
1 Mox Sapphire
1 Mox Jet

Lands: 19
3 Polluted Delta
3 Flooded Strand
3 Tropical Island
2 Underground Sea
4 Island
3 Wasteland
1 Strip Mine

Side Board: 15
2 Sower of Temptation
2 Energy Flux
3 Krosan Grip
1 Darkblast
1 Engineered Plague
2 Planar Void
2 Yixlid Jailer
1 Relic of Progenitus
1 Tormod's Crypt

Sense I knew the Squirrel Craft wasn't as strong as Vault/Key, I decided for an alternative from the combo would be mana denial. Plus, Null Rod seemed to be like an auto inclusion to slow down and stop other Tezz decks. Mirri's Guile is in there for a Top replacement, and it worked pretty well actually. Guile was a nice turn one drop and was great when paired with a Confidant. There's certainly room for improvement here, I hope that you guys enjoyed my list and maybe with a little tinkering this might become a competitive deck someday.

I don't really think I'm qualified to give suggestions here since I had to look up the combo to see what it does, but isn't Sylvan Library better than Mirri's Guile?

Library doesn't trigger during your upkeep, so you can't stack confidant flips the way you want. Also guile is one mana, which is another plus. Library is overall better, but here I just needed something to keep confidant from killing me and this is the best thing outside of top that works for that purpose.

I don't know who you are, but you are probably my new hero.

I'm very biased though, since squirrel was like my trademark deck for a long time. I don't know if I like the idea of fancying it up with all these current cards, but if you could actually make it survive in competitive play, then I am impressed. Rock on!
