First off I wanted to say that I made this deck for a tournament I knew was going to be full of Tezz and Tezz variants. I also fail to mention that this decklist was written less then 2 hours prior the the tournament when I played it, there are some poor card choices, each of which I will point out.

4 Tarmogoyf
3 Goddock Teeg
4 Kid Ape (OMGOSH SHOULD HAVE BEEN NACATL WHAT WAS I THINKING)
3 Mogg Warmarshal
3 Aven Mindcensor (Didn't do a damn thing for me all night)
4 Quasali Pridemage

4 Lightning Bolt
3 Aincent grudge
3 Skullclamp
2 Tarrif
3 Aether Vial
2 Red Elemental Blast
2 Pyroblast

3 Wasteland (Also did nothing for me)
1 Strip Mine (Same)
3 Wooded Foothills
2 Windswept Heath
3 Taiga
1 Plateu
1 Savannah
1 Mox Pearl
1 Mox Emerald
1 Mox Ruby
1 Black Lotus
1 Mountain
1 Forest

My SB was horribe and I put it together at the last minute when I realized I didn't have one so I wont even post it. Yes it is that bad.

Ok now down to the things I did wrong. I don't know why I only have two white sources, apparently when making and changing the deck I had forgotten to update the mana part of it. Wasteland, strip mine and aven Mindscenor were horrible, and I cannot believe I had forgotten about Wild Nacatl. I'm Still uncertain what to put in the place of the birdy, Regular lands will go for the wastelands and such.

My first round was vs SCV, I did not even need to SB and won 2-0, racing through tinker inkwell no problem game 1 and game 2 I Ancient Grudged the deck to oblivion.

Round 2 I split with Alex S. it was decided there that we would be prize splitting.

Round 3 I played against some Staxx deck, I used the grudges helped but over all I just beat it when the few creatures I could sneak in Early. I boarded in 4 Seal of Primordium.

Round 4 I played against Tezz, the injustice of timed rounds forcing me to tie with him, I would have beaten him in just 2 more combats. Oh well. I side boarded 4 Seal and 1 Seedtime.

In Top 8 I played against BUG Fish, no Sideboard needed. Game 2 he flipped Inkwell speeding up my good board position several turns.

After that I played vs Alex again, and keeping with the trend we decided he was the best contender to play vs TPS for the mana drain, which we won and still need to sell.

All and all I LOVED the deck, several people have told me to cut white, though I am uncertain because I feel like it makes up where the deck has flaws. Opinions?

I really like aven mindcensor when facing tezzeret/time vault decks. I will admit some games It doesn't do much although these are few and far between. Most of the time it is absurdly good and many people I play with comment that the bird is one of their least favorite cards to see me play against them. I'm curious if your lack of white mana had any impact as to why aven mindcensor wasn't good for you. If  you had 3 mana in play when you needed to stop a search card where you just missing your white mana to play it?

I'm not sold on mogg war marshal. What games did this guy help with?

Without null rod I can see waste effects being average to bad against tezz since you won't have much of a mana denial plan. Wastes still seem pretty nice for dredge, stax, and fish matches regardless of no null rod.

Aether vial seems like it should be a 4 of or not played. Playing one after the first couple turns seems pretty slow so you want one in the opening hand.

I would still probably leave in the strip mine since it can still hit one of two untapped islands when you expect mana drain mana was left open. strip, attack to remove the blue mana they float. resolve your spell.

Nether Void is absolutely terrible. I can't envision any game I've played with The Deck where I would have wanted everything to be mana leaked.

I ran

a rgw beats deck called extreme naya and had great results.

List:
22:
10 fetch
2 plains
1 forest
3 mox
2 taiga
2 plateu
2 savanah

4 nactl
4pridemage
4 goyf
3 teeg
4 aven mindcensor
4 magus of the moon
4 tin street hooligan
4 mogg fanatic
2 kitaki
1 lotus
4 null rod

I won 2 chicago power events against good players (owen, lord homercats, mike soly, etc)
I top 8'd 2 other times
and got 9th for twister at icbm open day 1 chicago (or my best friend running exact same list did i should say, got 17th myself)
and I played it again and 2 and got bad beated by the eventual winner of the tournament to get 10th with tiebreakers.

besides early tinkers or nuts draws u crush other fish
yer dredge match ups solid with 8 sackers.
yer storm is rough preboard unless u teeg/null
yer gobys/other agrro match ups solid yer creatures are just better
yer shop match ups solid, stax can be rough 4 anyone but u still have alot of hate
oath is rough but its tier 2 now, win yer 1st 1 or 2 and u dont play it
this is a refined heavily tested build that works very well

I would board after learing this deck
4 tarif for tinkers
3 seals of primordium for tezz and shops and oath or even leyline from dredge
4 leylines of the void for welder heavy decks and dredge ( not sure if nescesary but you deffinetly want them when u need them)
the other 4 I would probably go with red ele blasts or dredge hate (i dislike cannonist because there hurkly/rebuild gets rid of both null rod and cannonist) so im not sure what storm hate would be best, maybe 2 cannonists a 4th teeg and tormods? either way 4 those 4 slots vary based on meta.

Reasons 4 the cards in this deck:
Null rod....2 good not 2 run.
Magus wins games on its own especially if there unperpared.

Goyf/nactl just beats power and power speed

mogg fanatic seems like crap after stack changes but its a 1 drop, kills the new draw engine of vintage in B.O.B, welders, selkies, cliques and can win u goyf battles and its good against dredge.

pridemage: beats for 3 kills oath and artifacts, wins u goyf wars, and helps against dredge....no brainer
tin street: you may question this card..dont its sick....puts a beat on the board blows up moxes, mana crypts, juggernauts...ok theres almost always a fucking target and if not it still beats.

Kataki: not sold on it, but it did win me a few games but against anything but stax/shop its usually boarded out.

Aven Mindcensor: retarded, best card in the deck, 4 of for sure every time, stops fetches, tutors, makes gifts blow, ass rapes tinker, the list of awesomeness continues....

Teeg: A BEAST! I wish i could run 4( damn legendary, you cant afford a teeeg clog running 4 in a eck with no draw)  Ill explain why hes a house in case the readers of this have never played vintage or have down syndrome.  Shuts down: engineered explosives, chalice at 2, tendrils of agony, gifts, force of will, artifacts like smoke stack etc, um damnation if they run it in the board, basically it suts down have the format and a chunk of there hate for your deck.  And it is always very good counter bait against almost anything that runs blue.

Some people have criticised the deck others have told me how awesome it is, its not a unique butterfly but it was 2 me, ive had alot of success with it.  Its good, its as competative as any fish deck and honestly I almost never lose 2 anything at all besides early tinkers.  Give it a try if yer looking for an alternative aggro deck from bug fish or gobbys, its good enough 2 play and have a shot at winning.  So theres my peace hope it helps or you at least have fun trying it out.  Let me know what you think if you do.
