@ TheShop - i'm pretty sure that a deck running 4 bobs & 4 bazaars doesnt need 4 tutors in it.  1, maybe 2 if you really feel like you just gotta be able to find a card when you want it.  B/c w/ that much draw, you should be able to dig thru your deck fairly well.

I don't necessarily disagree with you... But the lists running the engine also run: demo/vamp/seal/consultation frequently...

They grab strip mine and 3sphere and are simply good...good enough that vroman would say that black is more important than red now and that he sees trinisphere more often.

Has anyone considered Gate to the Aether?  Granted it isn't single sided draw I still think it might be viable.

Pros:
Effective on almost every card in your deck.
Doesn't work on most deck draw engines (bob is an exception).
When combo'd with sensei's diving top its purely amazing.
Is a permenant.

Cons:
They can flip into key/vault
Starts working on their upkeep
Costs 6 mana so usually doesnt come out till turn 4-5

Gate is 6 mana, and can help your opponent as much or more.

Yes and no.  If they flip a permenant it helps them as much or more, however if they flip an isntant/sorcery  it doesnt help them in the least bit, plus when they flip an instant/sorcery you know what they just drew.  I never said it was perfect it is a suggestion.

Take into account that they can use their tops as well to put the wanted card on top, not to mention the dear sphinx or vault/key, plus, in the mirror its not the best card. By the way, including it could mean to include sensei's and probably removing null rods and could help your opponent to get out of the lock with something like: "oh lucky me, i revealed a mox and i played it for free and skipping your chalice@0.

My humble oppinion.
