A deck with one of the highest win-con densities in the format and a reliance on short-game effects like Spell Pierce wants this guy more than, say, "the deck"?
That's precisely why Oath wants Jace. Jace can Brainstorm men back.
Not only that, but I've found Oath to suffer somewhat in the long run because of all the "dead" stuff if you can;t get Oath active- Jace adds a powerful tool to survive the long game in the cases where you can't win the short one.
But yeah, the continuous ability to B.S. your way out of bad topdecks along with a control tool that doesn;t cost mana seems Tailor-made for Oath.
