For sure. I've been wanting to get into vintage for a while, but I failed miserably at finding tournaments when I could go. The superstars tourneys are the perfect size and frequency for what I've been after.

An unusual side effect of theda adel is that the current bounce hate works really well against her. Imagine... Theda adel connects...play time vault. The opponent plays chain of vapor, targeting time vault. If it resolves, the chain of vapor player just tutored for time vault for one blue. A strange scenario, but not that strange. It doesn't break her, but it's DEFINITELY something to think about. It's definitely not the same thing as removing it from the game. If theda adel sees enough play, I'm positive this scenario will come up.

Another cool side effect... If you pull out their sensei's divining top, then when you tap it to draw a card, it gets put on top of the opponent's library. If you do this with Theda adel's ability on the stack, you tap the top to draw a card, it gets put on top of their library, then theda adel's ability resolves, allowing you to replay the top. If you're in a solid position already, it might be safer to do this instead of being greedy with the infinite turns. Also, it's probably never worth grabbing a part of their combo if you know they have the other part, unless you are confident they can't bounce it.

Just a few notes.  One of the great things about Thada is that you get to see your opponent's library, so you'll know, pretty much, what they have in hand.  Look to see whether they have part of the combo and/or any tutors.   If they do, then you're better off just Exiling the best target, probably a Tinker target, or Tinker itself.   But if they have a Robot in play, then you'll obviously want to try to assemble the Time Vault combo.

I was looking at the 1st/2nd oath list.I wanted to know if you found yourself wanting more creatures main deck. In grim oath I play 3 dudes , even when I had 2 I missed the third.

Thada can only hit artifacts and youre absolutely right that the bounce could potentially be a problem. However being able to look through their entire deck and go one bounce two bounce three bounce four i win is pretty good lol. I think as a main board card she is much stronger then trygon predator, he will probably still be a sideboard care but i haven't decided 100% on that yet either.

As for spell pierce I ran it main board in fish and i liked it alot, it won me quite a few force of will show downs and just stopped ants and i believe galen in top 8. They would tap out for a dark ritual with no artifact backup and pretty much go play land discard good card pass turn because of it.

I didn't see who said it earlier but i wanted to respond about the tendrils vs fish match up. Of course magic is a card game but if they drop most of their hand to adnausem and you dont see a pact of negation all you need is a stiffle to win once that blow their wad and go tendrils for 15 storm you take 2 they gain 2 probably some where around 5 life and you beat them to death with a single creature. I also put in gaddock teegs specifically for that match up I got really lucky going turn one meddling mage tendrils turn 2 top deck gaddock pretty much just ends their game most lists i have seen only have one counter to gaddock and thats chain vapor.

The other possibility i have been looking at and may have been done before, i just saw it in a recent deck list is spell snare vs spell pierce. Spell snare stops alot of cards in the format just dead in their tracks but it doesnt win the yagmoth force force spell pierce battles so im really not 100% sure yet. There is so many good two drops in vintage that i really want to add it but i just cant justify it yet. They Need to make a good counter spell in Rise of the Eldrazi thats cost one and is counter target spell with converted mana cost 3 or less for 1 that wouldnt be broken right?

Please give me some feed back im still pretty new to vintage and im always willing to hear someones insight with a bit more exp then me.

It's efficient. Will the life matter? Most likely not. One mana is huge... say...against workshop decks. Say against lodestone golem, which makes your ancient grudge cost 3. It also depends on your win condition. If you're swinging with a 7 powered robot, will the 4 life let them live an extra turn? If they're still at 20, it takes a whole 'nother turn to kill them with the robot alone after you've cast nature's claim. I don't know. Sounds like something I'd want to be conscious of when deciding on mah' hate.

About theda adel: I hadn't really thought of deducing exactly what's in their hand from seeing their deck. It will matter less game 2, though, since you don't know exactly how they boarded. But man, she's a hell of a lot cooler than rootwater thief.

i was playing against workshop on the play and went turn one land lotus crack for theda pass turn. Sitting now with a strip mine spell pierce force daze in my hand. He plays a turn one lodestone golem which gets dazed. I draw another land hit him with theda take his lotus, next turn he plays a sphere effect which i counter. Then theda gets me a crucibal of worlds and i crucibal lock him down, hes scoops angrily and crys about how broken theda adel is. Also taking tangle wire while you have the advantage is pretty stupid you basically turn their game on them and just force them to lose its pretty horrible.

Lotus + Theda + counters + strip is a pretty ridiculous opener against shops and should not be taken as a typical application of that card. Most often Theda Adel is pretty weak in the MUD aggro matchup since they aren't playing islands and they have bigger dudes than your 3cc grizzly bear.
