K-Value: Unsanctioned, 10 proxies allowed for free. You can purchase up to five more proxies at $1 each.
        REL: Competitive (like a PTQ)
Decklists will be required (and published).

        The Prizes:
1st Place: UL Mox Jet Mox Sapphire (sold the Jet, what can I say, I'm a sucker for money)

Highest player with no proxies: $25 in table credit

2010 Player of the Year Race:
This event will count towards Player of the Year 2010! Players can earn points throughout the year by playing vintage, each match win is worth 3 points, each draw is worth 1 point, and each loss is worth 0 points (just like the swiss points system used in tournaments). Players in the Top 8 will be awarded bonus points based on their finish, as follows:

        1st place: 12 points
        2nd place: 9 points
        3rd + 4th place: 6 points
        5th - 8th place: 3 points

   Side Events:

Sanctioned Vintage: (YES that means no proxies!)

Start Time: After the last swiss round.
        Entry Fee: $5
        Format: Vintage
        K-Value: 16k

        Prizes:
1st Place: $50 in table credit.
2nd-8th: Based on the number of players.

       EDH League:

A part of the year-long league, with people earning points working towards the title of 2010 Blue Bell EDH Champion. Prizes will be given out at each event AND at the end of the year!

Start Time: After the last swiss round.
        Entry Fee: $10
        Format: Elder Dragon Highlander

Prizes: $8 goes towards prizes for that event, $2 goes towards the year-end prizes.
1st: 40% of the Entry Fees in table credit
2nd: 20% of the Entry Fees in table credit
3rd + 4th: 10% of the Entry Fees in table credit

Is Mike still running the Blue Bell tournaments?  Mike was/is an awesome guy, I hope he's still around.  Tournaments always went super smooth there.

If I can't find enough cards to make a deck, I might just come down to play people in between rounds with proxies.  I live pretty close.

Although, I'm not going to make any promises. Smile

Mike handed over the reins to Nick Coss who has been running them this year.  Would be cool if you showed up, its been a long long time.

Ahh, cool.  Is Nick the judge that started supervising Blue Bell tournies around the same time I stopped playing?

Cats.dec is a new vintage powerhouse.  One of these days when I get around to building it IRL I'll blow everyone's minds.

Wow.  I got a great laugh out of that.

Break out the Cats Nick, I'm ready.

I'll be there, and I'm sure I'll be bringing a few other guys with me.

YES!

Some last minute complications threw me a bit of a curve, but I will be there.  And I will consider showing up with bells on.  Or, having someone with me with bells on.  Anyone know where Jake Gans is? Have your Sharpies ready!

I'll have to check out a Staples and check out prices to see if I can arm (pun!) some people that didn't have Sharpies last time.
