Checking out their logs, it appears that EJ raids 2 nights a week, and Juggy does 3 nights a week (plus some scattered 10-mans). 4 hours a pop.
Doesn't seem so bad.

I suppose it's mostly the thought that this format is just one big Mistake; and not even a very sophisticated one at that.

That is pretty usual times for when all the content is over and done with. On progression periods, you raid 4-5 nights a week, 4-6 hours a night, this seems to be the standard. Of course, you will have to do all the farming/pvp on your own time as well.

I figured since they're still working Arthas, that they hadn't hit farm schedule yet. Could be wrong.

I would recommend Runes of Magic it is free to play, and it is loaded with content. And they keep adding more all the time. I just can't wait for Diablo 3 to be released have a feeling I will living at my PC

I started playing WoW about 6 months ago, and I can't find anything comparable to it. IMO, it really lives up to the hype. Travis, I think it is going to be tough to find an RPG that beats this.

This thread's sort of a necro, but ah, before the lockdown...
Dungeons and Dragons Online has been eating up my free time lately. It's F2P and I sort of wish there were a *little* more actual F2P content, but I get to bash things with an angry Dwarf and that's all anyone really wants in life, innit?

There really isn't one that compares to it at this point. I'm back out on WoW for about the past 2 months. I did about 170 attempts on heroic lich king with no chance of the guild I was in killing it and decided to just hang it up for a while.

There is no real reason to play WoW at this point unless you really wanna farm for heirlooms, the expansion is only like 2 months away.

I'd highly recommend Recettear: A Shop's Tale as an RPG with a difference. You run a shop in an Adventuring world and you have to make lots of money to pay off loans. Seems bizarre but the gameplay is intelligent, and you still get to dungeon-crawl, if you wish.

I used to play wow, but, as many has told, it ended up becoming almost a job, requiring too many hours of investment (half of them being mindless farming). Plus, you have duties you need to attend to in almost any serious guild; the alternative is not raiding or going into casual guild, who can not even achieve higher raiding at all.
PvP may require less time, but you still have commitments with your team members and you still may need raid drops for a good equipment.
Wrap it all up.. it was more a work than a way to burn some free time.
I'm now playing SC2 (still being quite bad at it), but even if pro could need a lot of training to reach certain high levels of play ( = time invested), the game itself let you play at your pace without forcing you into being present in certain days or what. You can play less, or more, or drop it for some time and then come back, and it's overall more forgiving in this regard. Hoping to get better at it, I think it'll be my game for a long time to come.
If you are more into RPG, Dragon Age is surely something you should play, it's almost like playing an hypothetical Baldur's Gate III, but it's not too long and you'll finish it in a couple of months at worst.

I guess I'm in the minority of WoW players, but I quit because there never was anything to do. I was in a top guild, and we just crushed everything such that it probably would have been more fun for me to actually be casual. If you're on the higher end of WoW, they really don't release relevant content fast enough to keep it interesting, and there's only so many races to grind to exalted (for rewards you generally won't use anyway) or gold to farm (for things you buy that aren't as good as your gear anyway). The only enjoyable part of the game was arena towards the end, but how many times can you really get gladiator?

I just wiki'd this. From what I read, the concept of this game seems pretty nuts. Do you know many people can be in the same multiplayer mode? Depending on the number of players allowed, such a game could maintain a near exponential level of ridiculocity.

Minecraft is one of the coolest games I have ever seen and its still only in ALPHA. I think the real reason it is taking off is because there is already a huge modder community. This game will be insane if it ever reaches a true release point, the guy is already making bank.

http://www.neotokyohq.com/gameinfo.htmlOne of the best if not the best Source Engine Mod out there. Very small community due to the Mod being on hold for the time being, the developers work for big name studios and don't have time to continue work on the mod. However it is a very very polished product and is addictive as hell if you are into this kind of FPS. Very high learning curve compared to FPS games like Modern Warfare etc. You have been warned. Edit: Some screen shots from the site: http://www.flickr.com/photos/pushbak/sets/72157608699895207/show/Trailer video made by the developers: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MOh3xYPrYF8
