Hello,
Recently started dipping my toes into Type 1 again; looking for people in the immediate Boston area to play with. I can reach anywhere accessible by the T. If anyone plays regularly in the Boston area please post here or contact me via PM as I am very interested in joining in.

Thank you for your time,

John.

Every Monday night, there is type 1 at Scholar's Bookstore in Bridgewater.  Many people from the Boston area play there

Thank you, I have known about ELDs weekly events for a while now. Unfortunatly none of them including Scholar's has even been within realistic distance considering I do not own a car. The commuter rail is out of the question, so I'm pretty boned when it comes to getting to Bridgewater.

Who are you and where do you live in the city, specifically?  I'm Bill Copes, residing in South Boston.  I usually test with a few guys from Cambridge: Grand Inquisitor (Steve Houdlette), Arik Pogrebinsky, Dan Cunningham, Jeff Greene, and occasionally a few others.  It's been a while since we got together for vintage (they're currently focused on legacy), but I'm sure we can get something going again some time soon.

I live in Brighton, I meet with some vintage players in Canton regularly, but we draft more than we play vintage. I saw from one of your older posts that you used to play at Ground Zero Games in Norwood, it's most of the old crew from there.

Copes you've been emailed.

@MM, I have talked to Chris before, I'd love to join but getting out there isn't viable for me anymore.

I live in JP, I haven't been able to a lot playing/testing lately though with a new job.  Pandemonium is a large card/game/comic shop right on the red line, and I used to meet up with people there for legacy kind of regularly.  A lot of the guys who Bill mentioned have showed up there before, but not as often.  As far as I know there isn't anything regular/weekly... but the concentration of eternal players in Bean-Town seems to be getting up there...

I'm in the boston (cambridge) area and am also looking for some kind of gathering of vintage players, maybe bi-weekly.  I did run into some of the above mentioned people at Pandemonium a couple times, and that was a really good group.  If anything like that was going to happen again I'd show up.  Really if any mature/articulate players wanted to get together sometime, informally, that'd be pretty cool.

I live in Brighton. I'm looking for people to play with. Some people may remember me. I was the greasy long haired douche-bag drummer who sported bomberman and gifts back in the day.  Very Happy I sold all my cards to support my Music Production and Engineering habit, so anyone with a deep card pool who wouldn't mind sharing, gets a hug from me!

I remember you, we went to 1 vintage event together. You played some bomberman/slaver hybrid. We carpooled with Matt, my girlfriend and myself to myriad games. Unfortunately I have moved out of the state and only come back to visit once a year for a week so no card loaning is going to be possible.

Never knew you too well as I don't think you kept playing much longer after that and I moved away not too long after as well. Anyway, glad to see your renewed interest in vintage. Hopefully you can find some people to test decks with.

Nether Void is absolutely terrible. I can't envision any game I've played with The Deck where I would have wanted everything to be mana leaked.

^^^ That was me man! What a fun deck, and great time to play vintage. I quit because I had too many responsibilities piling up at once. Now I have my life pulled together and I'm finding I have a little bit of extra time on my hands.

Hey guys, Clark and I haven't gotten our work schedules for next week yet, but we were hoping to get a night off where we can have a tournament at our place.  By tournament, I don't mean an official one.  I'm thinking more along the lines of something my friends and I used to do with Texas Hold 'Em where we would all throw in 5 bucks and winner takes all, or prizes to first and second... you get the point.

So, we'll have to wait till Thursday/Friday to get our schedules for next week, but in the meantime I' like to see who would be willing to chill out, and play some fun casual Magic.  Type 1 guidelines, just a smaller prize as a good encouragement to take it serriously and win.  We can have some brews, put some sports on the TV, whatever.

We live in Allston, right outside of Boston, 8 minute walk from the green line.  Here is out adress if you want to google map it:
53 saunders street
Allston, MA, 02134

PM me or reply here.  I think it would be really fun Smile

I actually work about a mile down the street on Brighton Avenue, might be interested as long as the timing doesn't conflict too heavily with my work schedule

I'm in Cambridge and I'd love to start getting active again. Does anyone have any regular-ish meetups? Feel free to PM me.

Anyone play at Pandemonium in Central?
