instant speed tendrils?

has anyone ever had sucess with a quicken tendrils build? im just wondering because it seems as though it would be much easier to combo off a tps deck with the other players turns available.

I've had moderate success with Quicken, but only in Doomsday. It helps your Tendrils at times, but it's really meant to have a safe Doomsday turn.

Unfortunately, Doomsday is currently crippled due to M10 rules changes, and try as I might, I haven't gotten it back to the level I've been playing it at...

I think a combo deck is not the best option at the moment. People playing a lot of shop deck with many spheres.
