Is there seriously no thread about this? This is a damn Vintage tournament.
Do we not remember Vintage tournaments?
Do we not remember crowding 12 magic players into one room?
Do we not remember top 8 dinners?
Do we not remember trash talk threads?
Do we not remember throwing hamburger patties at Stephen Menendian?
Do we not remember Mindslaving someone with a Time Vault out ... BEFORE Flame Fusillade was printed?
Do we not remember embarrassing the pros at "Shooting Stars?"
Do we not remember dedicating everything TO DAVE FEINSTEIN?
Do we not remember roadtripping, losing money, losing matches, getting lost and STILL having the best weekends ever?
I remember!
I CAN play type one!
I've decided that I'm going to Gen Con. I've decided that it's going to be sick. I've decided that YOU are going to post in this thread. People are going to PM me, and I'm going to split a hotel room with some VINTAGE players, preferably spending time with as many ridiculous vintage teams as possible - the way things were meant to be! We are going to cube draft and talk theory and 3v3 team cash vintage and Steak and Shake. Gen Con 2010 is going to be a real VINTAGE tournament for me again, and YOU are going to help me do it.

Holy Crap, the Dark Sith Lord himself Stephen Q. Menedian will be there. This is going to be epic. Are people coming just for the events? or staying any of the Con days. I'd really like to get a group of TMDers together, at least for dinner if not for a hotel/con party. Yangtime, Snoop Trogg, Hazard, Randalmore the Red, and a crap ton of Team Serious will be there for the whole Con. Just don't leak your deck tech to Yangtime or Snoop. They follow the path of the dark side.  |

All I can say is that the last time Brassman and I were at a tournament together, the following things happened:
- The drink Mox Sapphire was invented
- Ben Kowal tried to steal Dave Fienstiens wallet.
- A drunk Tommy Kolowith said that he was the world's best looking magic player
and
a video may or may not have surfaced on the internet in which I licked Dave Fienstien's nipple.
I am REALLY looking forward to gencon now.

GEN CON Indianapolis August 5-8 Indiana Convention Center TCG Hall 100 South Capitol Avenue Indianapolis, IN Vintage Championship Friday, August 6, 2010 Tournament begins at 10 a.m. Legacy Championship Saturday, August 7, 2010 Tournament begins at 10 a.m. There are also Vintage and Legacy prelims on the days before the tournaments, as well as 8-man tournaments happening all weekend. Also other formats, if you're that kind of dude... |
