Strips are the Natural predator of shelldock that's why we suggested Show and tells. How could strip hurt you so Bad? Didn't you stack a 2. Emrakul and the Show and Tell in the doomsday Pile as backup? What were your Stacks?

game one it worked but game 2/3 it was either wasteland, or shelldoc getting bounced or being named under pithing or getting milled out, it may have just me being a bad pilot. it was pretty control heavy, not a lot in the way of aggro.

i stacked like this

brainstrom
shelldock
emarkul
show and tell
emarkul

If you're not planning on scrapping the deck altogether, I'd suggest running a singleton Twiddle or Cloud of Faeries to include in your stack. Twiddle makes their Strips ineffective unless they've got two of them down. Cloud is probably less helpful to you, since it depends on Lotus to net you mana.

Also, having Sensei's Divining Top on board accelerates your kill after resolving Doomsday.

Solid stacking so I feel a Bit sorry for you. What do you think? Was this a Single Shot on this Deck or will you continue working on it?

I might mess about with it some more it has some huge potenal to destroy in a powered event. However, a side note, the fact that shelldock comes into play tapped was most of my problem, that one turn left me wide open with no way to respond to strip effect, if it didn't come into play tapped it would wreck. so that being said fix that and it will do much better.

Maybe trinket mage or Artificer's Intuition-> amulet of vigor. Also i was messing about and thinking i could use deprive+ shelldock to make use of the dead shelldock afterward.

either maindecking or sideboarding teferi's response (pet card of mine I cant find enough uses for) or stifle would shore some of those issues up.

Teferi's Response is an amazing card, but casting it probably means you'll deck. I think Twiddle is the cheapest/fastest answer you'll find. Here's the stack I'd recommend against an opponent running strips:

Brainstorm
Shelldock
Twiddle
X
Emrakul

I'd think X is best as FoW or Pierce, depending on what you have in hand when DD resolves. Note that Amulet of Vigor won't save you from a strip on the table, and smart opponents will probably run out strip asap in anticipation of Twiddle/Cloud.

it would, in the same way one doesnt play dark depths until hexmage is on the board, with the amulet, the land can be activated in the same turn dd is. the ability is already on the stack, it doesnt stop it from going off.

But shelldock could Be wasted with amulets untap-ability on the stack. So you can't activate shelldock. There's always a Window for your opponent. Amulet is a wasted slot, it could help but won't fix your Problem

Dream's Grip trumps Twiddle. Can tap or untap, or both for 1 mana extra.
