Can any of you gentlemen New Yorkers explain to me how to get to this lovely venue from Manhattan Island?

Go to Penn Station. Take the Long Island Rail Road to Bellmore, and arrive around 10am. Hop in the Detwiler bus to the event. Get dropped off at the train station after the event. That easy enough? By the way, the prize support for second, which I had forgotten to update, has been announced.

I'd like to add that I firmly believe that the after party for this event will be the best after party we have ever had. It looks like everybody is going to be there. I hope that Fridays doesn't mind seating 30.

Im sad to say I can't make this one! In my absence I know that fellow council members Fisher and Mean Mark H. will both dominate this event! I only wonder which one will bring the lotus back to the Councils treasure room? @Nick D. Sorry man I really wanted to be in attendance. Damn the man! @ The rubecube & Mark.... The dance should be a Melbourne Shuffle! To be fair It should be put on youtube so the vintage people can vote for the better man! To all who go to this event/are thinking about going . GET THERE,GET IT DONE! n.y.s.e. events are always a blast! ......watch out for the russians tho ,just ask Nick D. BuMp!

Seeing the responses on this thread so far and the good turnout at the last Lite, i'd say we should have no less than 30 for this.
People, don't forget decklists! We are going to need them for this! (A reminder mainly to myself, i hate hand writing them at the event.)

So, Mr. Fisher and Mr. Headley, I'll see you guys tomorrow morning at the Bellmore train station at 10am. Fish, give me a call when you get in. Mike, you know what I'm driving...
Heard from the Jersey guys, PA guys, and a lot of the Long Island guys. Looks really good for attendance right now...
I hope to see you guys all out at Grim tomorrow!

I went 4-0-2 in the swiss, then promptly got blown out in 2 games in top 8. Game 1 I kept decent hand with 2 land, Ancestral, Divining Top, Spell Pierce in what I know is a Tezz mirror. He plays land, Mox, Lotus, Jace, Vampiric...Game 2 I keep land, Sapphire, 2x confidant, pierce, Jace. He FOWs Confidant, then he plays land, mox, sol ring, voltaic key, tinker for time vault!
In other matches I believe UR Landstill lost to fish, and then there was another fish deck and a Storm deck. There were infinite Trygon Predators at this tourney.

I guess that pretty much reinforces the theory that tezz isn't that hard to play, wouldn't you say?

I heard that Oath won, Keith Seals version, despite infinite Trygons. Interesting. I'm excited to see the TO report from this, and the TO report from last weekend's Blue Bell. Nick and Nick, get on it! (please)

We had 46 players, which was a little light, but we all had a great time. 1st and 2nd were kept the same, with 3rd-8th getting scaled back a little bit. Elias, what's your over/under on Workshop decks in the top 8?

Not true, Noble Fish won the NYSE Lite True story. Greg and I did top 8 with Oath, but neither made it to the finals in that Lite last week. Today not so much. Great time though. I am a happy monkey because i bought (at a nice price) a super minty Shahrazad so it was totally worth it for me, despite me playing very, very, badly. Although in casual EDH 25 Pegasus tokens with Mirror Entity and Mirari's Wake and 10 lands is pretty good. Who want's pictures from Friday's?

I was hoping I could convince you, or someone technologically proficient, to put up those pictures. I was also hoping that I could get Nick Coss to post some of the video of the God of Thunder during the after party. Things that may or may not have been said: "I want you all to know this. You see, I haven't been able to do this since I was 13. But I can still make this noise :HEEEEEEEEEHAAAAAOOOONNNKKKKKK KKK." The more you know...

Nick, a slight warning, i am a horrid photographer, Also, i don't do the Facebook thing. Do you want me to send you a zip file of all them (on a site like Rapidshare)? Or do you want them posted here as thumbnails with funny captions? Mind you after removing terrible blurry dupes, it is 184 MB's, so i don't think i can email them all.

I guess that pretty much reinforces the theory that tezz isn't that hard to play, wouldn't you say? Yeah one unfortunate consequence of Jace is that now drawing Black Lotus in your opener is even better than it was already. I also lost a game in round 1 to first turn land, mox, lotus, ancestral, Jace. Although, I certainly would have also lost both these games to Land, Mox, Lotus, Tezzeret. It is obvious that all Vintage decks will have many games where there is very little skill involved. That is the nature of the format. I actually think that, in general, the format is just not very skill intensive compared to other Magic formats. When I said that I thought Tezz was difficult to play, I just meant in relation to other Vintage decks. I didn't mean that I thought that it got all of it wins through tough plays and Magic skillz.
