Welcome to TMD! People who have just signed up have limited posting rights, presumably to cut down on spam/trolling/etc.

This forum is a good place to ask any questions about the site in general while you're learning the ropes.

The Rules and Regulations thread has a lot of basic info, although some of it is a bit dated. Usergroups and posting rights are here in specific.
