Since the dates for November and December have made major N.Y.S.E.'s virtually impossible, I have scheduled two Sunday tournaments with Alan from Comicbook Depot.  This is the first.

Here's the info:

What:

N.Y.S.E. Lite
$15, 15 proxy, non-sanctioned Vintage tournament

Prize Structure:

1st: Library of Alexandria
2nd: TBA

Where:

The Comicbook Depot
2847 Jerusalem Avenue
Wantagh, NY 11793-2016
(516) 221-9337

When:

Sunday, November 14th
11am registration, 12pm start

Some important pieces of information:

1.  The Library is guaranteed at 12 entrants.  Given how successful these events have been in the past, I don't think this is going to be a problem.

2.  There will be no deck registration sheets in use for this event.

Depot has some duals, Forces and other Vintage staples in stock.  The prize structure will be increased as the number of participants increases.

I hope to see you all there!

I wanted to ask people about the prize support for these events too.  It's relatively easy to offer tournaments for 2x Jace the Mind Sculptor, but occasionally more difficult to offer support like a Library.  What would you rather play for?  Many of us have Library's, but don't have Jaces.

Would you guys rather play for a Library, or Jaces?  The prize support on this event is set, but in the future I can adjust support accordingly.

Personally, I would say Jace, since they can be used in more than just Vintage.

Of course, I would still prefer 2 Mana Drains if the price was right. Very Happy

I can run 2x Italian Mana Drain events at 14 entrants.  Depending on cost, I might be able to run 2x English Mana Drain tournaments at around that number of entrants as well.

I doubt i speak for many, but older cards interest me more than newer ones.  This could be because i already have all the 'new' cards,  Very Happy

That being said, i play in any event i can make it to, regardless of prize support, so i'm probably an aberration in that sense as well.

We're less than a day away from this event.  A man made entirely of glass will be joining us at this event.  I've heard from all the regulars, and it looks like we're going to have a great turnout!

See you all soon!

The finals of this event featured JP Kohler's Mono Red Shops beating Mike Bauer's Espresso Stax.

Congrats to both players!

The other two players in the top 4 were Mike Egan, running Gush Long, and Alex Owen, running BUG Jace.

We have another event coming up on the 28th, and I hope to see you all then!
