I am confused. It's called a proxy event but then says no proxies allowed, and then continues to provide instructions for proxies. So are proxies allowed or not?

Hah! The proxy paradox strikes again.

I'll try to make it out, but I think a friend of mine from Boston might be in the area that weekend.  We'll see.  If not, I'll try to send some other people in my stead anyway.  Let's make this turnout impressive!

For serious guys, is there any doubt that CC will take this down?

I mean, seriously, how has Colorado NOT figured out how to beat shops? I look forward to countless failed attempts to stop "turn 1 lodestone, turn 2 tangle wire."

Carl, Thanks in advance for the c-note I'm about to win.

As always, anyone who beats me will receive a special bonus. Props to Black Gold for supporting Vintage!

See you clowns there!

sidebet? Cash is fine, but we could also get degenerate and talk ridic things, like asking the homeless for spare change or salvia bong hits . . .
I mean, I just can't let such claims go uncontested! We will have to make it interesting bob.

I will return to the great state of CO in time to play in this event. My arrival will mean a Boulder turnout of roughly 6 players more than when I abstained from these events.

Also, Carl, I'd like to talk about your plans for holding proxy events in 2011. I do plan on resurrecting the old monthly events at Time Warp, and I'd like for our schedules to be mutually beneficial.

Fucking deal!!! Next level bets only. I have dreams of THE Pierce Olssen proposing to the cashier of Chick-fil-A.

Also, EDH games going on all day. Anyone who beats me heads up will win a Vintage playable (of value).

Let's kick off 2011 with a bang!

Jeff here (Carl's offspring).

I'm hoping to be there this time to breathe some new life into Team Black Gold. The team's trophy case is looking a little dusty. All your Workshop are belong to us!

Wait, you're kidding right? My guess is that I continue crushing with shops. Denver's very own Alex Smith has issued a challenge at the last PTQ. So, the winners of the past 3 vintage tourneys will be in attendance. Looks to be a good time!

Also, Jeff, don't think I forgot our limited match. My dreams of crushing you with Myr battlesphere in Vintage will be realized!

How often are these events run?  I just stumbled upon this, and I'd love to get back into the scene, but don't think I could get a deck together for this one in time.  If these events are often, or often enough, you've just got another consistent vintage player.

These events are usually once a month (if not every other month).  We also run weekly sanctioned Vintage on Thursday nights.  Check out our website at www.blackgoldsports.com

Hope to see you at one of these!

Oh noes! I'm brewing up something spicy. It's actually kind of hilarious, especially the sideboard. My prediction: I'll either 0-2 drop, or sweep to victory! Going rogue is funny.

Very Happy I won a game! My deck made me laugh so much it was well worth the $10. It made plenty of other people laugh, too, so that's something. Gamble was hot. My only regret is not getting to play Final Fortune  Sad.
