Cesar and Guillem, where are you guys staying? I am thinking of flying in to Annecy in the middle of the week and then flying out the middle of the following week. I'm looking for places to stay and peeps to hang out with.

Are any others from the USA going to play or will I be the lone representative?!

@Jaco

I came across Jordi in Barcelona yesterday and we were talking about this precisely Very Happy

Me and the Barcelona Crew (Jack Drains team) are staying at:

Gamme Hôtels Balladins
ANNECY CRAN GEVRIER
38 avenue de la République
74960 CRAN GEVRIER (FRANCE)

We were there last year and we are really happy with the hotel. It´s pretty close (100 metres) from the Tournament. The place is ok and prices are afordable Smile So nice catch!

We are staying there from Wednesday until Monday.

If you need anything else, please let me know.

Hope to see you there champ!

Eventhough someone from my part of town does not have the support or resources, this definatly is the defining tourney of Vintage year in and out now. Bigger than Worlds etc. Whatever wins this is going to be undisputed like how MUD took the top last year. MUD use has died down alot just from Morphling.de's latest March statistics. Makes me wonder if Blue will reclaim the top spot that MUD has took the last two(?) years. If so, is it a Gush list/formal Drain list/Jace or Tezz, and if it uses stuff like Tendrils or Time Vault or even if the top list uses Blightsteel Collossus/Oath of Druids package. MUD topping again though is a feat for all the players that show up. Last years statistics for MUD players also showed how it was so much stronger before the printing of BSC/new innovations.

This one tourney, is what I base what deck should I compete with on online sites like cockatrice.de until I have a few extra hundred thousand sitting around to fly to all the Vintage events with my tier vintage deck. Otherwise, I think Bazaar of Moxen's data for showing the current best deck or a deck positioned in Vintage overall is very much so true. Eventhough MUD has won it the last two years, tourney reports indicate that is also... true towards most of tourneys in Europe and a good portion in America. I will be surprised if a Gush based deck, or a Ritual based deck make top 8. Also what I will be surprised about is that New Phyrexia(?) is released on the 15th, I do not know if that will be a factor here though. But yeah, this is a better Vintage World Champs pretty much sums up my opinon. *BTW, Is the World Champs at Gencon this year? I will be atending since one of my teammates on our team $H)T$@NDWICH got a nationals invite. Or am I delusional and that is a different time of year altogether for the World Champs. I'm sure I could borrow the cards, or maybe use Ichorid to say I played in the World Champs. Sad Alabama is a hard knock life for Vintage.
