I saw way too many movies to list.  Here's a list of what was most enjoyable from what I remember.

1.) Kick Ass:  WOW, I had such low expectations based on the previews adding to the fact that I never heard about the comic either.  Nicholas Cage didn't help my reservations.  What a pleasant surprise, that little girl did a helluva job.

2.) The Crazies:  Much better than the original and has a surprising amount of depth to it for a horror flick.

3.) The Book of Eli:  If you couldn't guess from my avatar, I'm a sucker for post-apocalyptic movies.  Nuff said.

I can't bring myself to watch a movie about........Facebook.com.  I'll pass on the Social Network.

For those who didn't like the new Tron, watch the original.  It's really not as good as you remember it.  Nostalgia can often cloud judgement.  I thought the new Tron was fun and visually stunning.  I'm not a fan of PG movies either but I liked it.

I recommend The Secret in Their Eyes, an Argentinian film that won the Oscar for Best Foreign Film in 2010.  I don't know if it counts as a 2010 film, but I'm sure it wasn't showing in many places until 2010.  King's Speech was also good.

Saw a bunch this year, notables:

1. The Social Network, everything about his movie is top rate. Its my number 1 by miles.

2. 127 hours. Not many saw this which is a shame. This movie in my eyes solidified James Franco as an A-list actor.

3. Kick Ass. Great direction, funny, engaging, brutal ... amazingly a movie that I didnt mind seeing Nicholas Cage in.

4. Inception. Huge Chris Nolan fan

5. Toy Story 3. I am not a fan of kids movies, never seen Shrek, never saw Toy Story 1. My lady friend insisted we watch Toy Story and then go see Toy Story 3, have to admit, I was thoroughly impressed with both the first and third movie. Very high quality.

Most Overrated?
Black Swan. Sorry guys, I know some of you are lapping the ass of this one but zzzzzzzzz. Found it very boring save for a scene here and there, kept checking the time on my phone to see how much longer I had.

Inception was, by far, the best movie I've seen all year and I'm going to go as far as saying best movie I've ever seen.   It satisfied every emotion I could possibly ask for in a movie.  I wasn't aware that Nolan directed one of my other favorite movies, Memento, until I looked him up.  If you haven't seen Nolan's first movie "Following" which is shot for less than $10K and only 64mins long I highly recommend it if you enjoy his type of movies (it's on Youtube).  Also, the Inception sound track by Hanz Zimmer is crazy good, I listen to it when I program as it puts me into the zone.   I've never downloaded a soundtack before but this one caught my attention.

After looking at the reviews, looks like I'm going to go have to watch "Black Swan" and "The Town".

RE: "The Other Guys".  If it's really better then "Talladega Nights" then it's a must watch for me.   Can it top the best scene in "Talladega Nights" which was the Baby Jesus Grace/Prayer? Also best quote from that movie was "Ahh Grandma, not muh prision shank!"

Just saw The King's Speech yesterday, and it was everything it's been made out to be.  Really an exceptional performance by Colin Firth.

Geoffrey Rush is almost more awesome in that movie.

Finally got around to seeing True Grit yesterday.  It was definitely a good movie, but I don't think it makes my top 5.  That it doesn't make my top 5 should be seen more as a comment on the quality of cinema in 2010 in general rather than any slight against True Grit itself, however.  I really hope that Hailee Stanfield gets the Oscar for best supporting actress. It's rare that someone so young can act so well.

So over the last week I've seen Inception, The Kings' Speach, and Black Swan. Inception was mind-blowing. Between some of the best visual effects ever and a plot/script that could only be written by a certified genius, it was one of the best films I've ever seen. Black Swan was awonderfully twisted, and Portman was awe-inspiriingly good in it. The King's Speach was in many ways a perfect movie. I can't think of a single criticism that I could realistically offer. It was funny, touching, just the right length, and filled with exceptional performances.

Good week of movie watching that.
