That is the weekend of the SCG Open in Edison, and Mirrodin Besieged Game Days at many local stores. Just throwing that out there.

I took off that weekend in anticipation of the SCG Open. I really don't like competitive Standard tourneys so I can definitely see myself skipping the Saturday festivities for this and going there Sunday for the Draft or Legacy Open. If three or four others from the Blue Bell crowd would be up for it I'll be there for sure.

If you're able to hold a Besieged Game Day at your location afterwards, all the better! I needs to get me some full-frame Treasure Mages and Black Sun's Zeniths!

As I don't involve myself in anything other than vintage and legacy events, I don't even know what a game day consists of. I don't know what the store owners intentions are. I have no problem suggesting it to the owner if enough people would be interested though. We will see if anyone else suggests it in this post. Thanks bud.

Not that many of us ever come down, but Lock Haven is having our MBS Game Day on that date as well - and Coval, at least, will be at the SCG Open regardless of what the rest of us are doing. I, for one, would love to attend another of these soon, but they always seem to occur on days when I have to TO something or other myself.

A Game Day is usually set up through the Wizards Play Network. If they run FNM at the store then they'll probably have a Game Day. Those events are usually Type 2 or Limited.

Arianhord - I'm not really sure who you are.

Mr. Glackin - I'll be sure to ask the store owner what his intentions are.

Man, what's with all the Standard hatorade?

Obv Vintage > Standard, I don't think you'll hear many dissenting opinions around here. But what's wrong with some Standard for dessert after your Vintage steak and baked potato?

Unfortunately most people I've asked around Philly think the chance of cashing at the SCG Standard Open > chance of winning a Mox > chance of winning a foil Black Sun's Zenith. So I may not be able to make this. If anybody around Philly is interested in carpooling to this, let me know.

Actually, with Edison this weekend, if might actually work nicely to play Vintage here on the 5th, then do a Legacy or Draft Open on Sunday. Just got to work some details out, especially with the 2 and half hour drive from Edison.

Yeah, I hear the 2 1/2 hour drive < 5 hour drive works out very well for attending Vintage events.... just sayin'.

I plan on being here.

I might be able to squeak in at 8th seed if my breakers are alright.
