Blue Bell Game Day #15!

    Saturday, May 14th, 2011
    Alternate Universes
    1530 DeKalb Pike
    Blue Bell, PA 19422

   Legacy Grand Prix Trial

        Registration/Doors Open: 9:00 AM (Start @ 10:00 AM)
        Entry Fee: $25
        Format: Legacy
        K-Value: 24k
        REL: Competitive (like a PTQ)

        The Prizes:

        2nd Place: 2x Tarmogoyf
        3rd-4th Place: $75 Store Credit
5th-8th Place: $35 Store Credit (at 25 players)

   Vintage Event

        Registration: 1:00 PM (Starts @ 2:00 PM)
Entry Fee: $30 or $25 if you played in the GP Trial.
        Format: Vintage
K-Value: Unsanctioned, 10 proxies allowed for free. You can purchase up to five more proxies at $1 each.
        REL: Competitive (like a PTQ)
Decklists will be required (and published).

The Prizes: (these prizes are based on +/- 45 players)
        1st Place: UL Mox Ruby
        2nd Place: AQ Mishra's Workshop
        3rd + 4th Place: $120 in store credit
5th-8th Place: $60 in store credit

2011 Player of the Year Race:
The Vintage event will count towards the Blue Bell Game Day Player of the Year 2011.  The Player of the Year plays for free at all of the Blue Bell Game Days the following calendar year!  Players can earn points throughout the year by playing vintage, each match win is worth 3 points, each draw is worth 1 point, and each loss is worth 0 points (just like the swiss points system used in tournaments). Players in the Top 8 will be awarded bonus points based on their finish, as follows:

        1st place: 12 points
        2nd place: 9 points
        3rd + 4th place: 6 points
        5th - 8th place: 3 points

The Blue Bell Player of the Year contest has nothing to do with Wizards of the Coast Player of the Year contest.  Do not confuse the two.  This one is for participants in unsanctioned Vintage tournaments held at Alternate Universes in Blue Bell, PA.

Same, obv.

Also is 0-2 drop the only acceptable scrub-out record to get the $5 discount? Just asking, because as many of you know, I rarely settle for just an 0-2 drop. My recent match history is littered with a bunch of x-3 and even x-4 drops.

this is an interesting idea-  Overlapping tournaments, one starting 3 hours early.  If anyone can make that work, it's Nick Coss.  You know I'll prob at least show up for Vintage.

Update!  I will have over 30 FBB duals for sale on Saturday.  There are AT LEAST 2 of each!  I cannot hold these for anyone, since multiple people have expressed interest and flaked out.  I've decided that it's first come, first serve, to be fair to everyone who would be interested in them.

FBB DUALS!  WOO!

Hope to see a ton of people there, playing Vintage AND Legacy! (and more formats?!)

Still eighth, huh? Looks like I'm going to this one, then. I wonder how the Legacy event's going to help/hinder T1 attendance?

I seem to be getting this question a lot so I wanted to tell everyone at once.

No, you cannot play in both events at the same time. If you play in Legacy and would like to play in Vintage you will have to drop from the Legacy event. This is done in the interest of time and tournament progression. Sorry.
