Team Competition:

As with the first two Grudge Matches, this event will be team oriented.  I am putting up a set of Scalding Tarns that will be signed by the Philly Team, to be given to the winning team.

Teams of three will be voted upon by members of their respective regions.  Votes for team members will be allowed by members of each individual region (and thus the votes will be public).  The threads for team voting will be put up soon.

I’m going to ask the other regions (New England and New York) to put up a set of similar cards, to be signed by your team, and given to the winning team as well.

BBGD Player of the Year Race
This event will not count towards the PotY Race, because I've changed the PotY Race to have it be for those players who attend and support Blue Bell Game Days, not just any Vintage event.

Throughout the day I will be running the following 8-man events, as they fill up.

It's Hard to say yes to no details. There is only one thing in NJ worth taking a random day off for. That my friends would be, WHITE CASTLE!

So as the guy who coined , There aint no party like a Nick Coss party. I must ask, can you stack up to a mountain of WC sliders?
DO YOU HAVE WHAT ITS TAKES TO BE BETTER THEN THE BEST LITTLE BURGER EVER?

How about witness New England come in higher than third?

For that I'd look to the standings in the AL East  Very Happy

Odds are whoever finishes higher, me or prospero, will decide whether the Red Sox or the Yankees take the AL pennant.

I love watching New Englanders and New Yorkers argue over who's going to come in second to Philly. In baseball and in Magic. It warms my heart!

Isn't your team like 3,000 games under .500?

B/c clearly the team's win % in, say, the 1890s or 1930s has anything to do with today.  Should I base your likely performance at this Grudge Match on the player you were in 2001?  2004?  Will you be rocking a B/W deck again this time?   Very Happy

Man, that deck was bad.

The Phillies are a good team, without a doubt.  I don't mind the Phillies, or their win in 2008.  More power to them.  It's nice to see old franchises do well.  Unless they're from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

That being said, Glackin seems to have a thing for taking unnecessary shot at the Yankees, who have proven themselves the better run/more successful team in the last 20 years.  There's nothing wrong with a little humility when your team has only ever won twice.

We have to take shots at NY, it's a significant part of our Philly identity.  Don't take it personally!
