Philadelphia area players, the time has come!  It's your opportunity to choose the team that will represent you in the upcoming New England vs. New York vs. Pennsylvania Grudge Match on August 13th.

The rules for voting are these:

1. You can only vote for Team Pennsylvania if you are a Pennsylvania player.  You don't have to be planning to come to the Grudge Match, though.

2.  To verify that all votes come from Pennsylvania players only, the voting thread isn't a blind poll.  Instead, to cast your vote, make a post with your choices.  If you're not especially active in the Pennsylvania Vintage scene, it might help to mention the area where you live, or a tournament in Pennsylvania that you played in.

3.  You should make three choices for the main team.  The three players with the most votes will be the primary members for Team Pennsylvania.  You can only choose from the list of candidates below.  If an alternate is needed, the person with the 4th most votes will be bumped onto the team.

4.  The voting for the Grudge Match team will be open until August 10th.

The ballot for Team Pennsylvania is the top 15 PA players in Blue Bell Game Day's PotY Race, to exclude any of my personal bias in choosing a list.  Then again, if you'd like to be on this list, I don't care! So ask and ye shall receive.  Also, if you can't make it let me know and I'll take you off.

In alphabetical order:

Allen Fulmer
Ed Carey
Jason Koresko
Jeff Folinus
John Jones
Joseph Brown
Josh Potucek
Matt Elias
Obert Chen
Richard Sim
Seth Zulinski
Shawn Anthony
Shawn Griffiths
Vito Picozzo
Will Magrann

In the event that I can't attend, I'd ask folks not to vote for me, in addition to the fact that I've been mostly inactive / terrible this year!

This is a tough one, but I'm voting for:
(updated based on who I think is attending)

Allen Fulmer
Jeff Folinus
Josh Potucek

Because if I can vote for myself, why not? And the other two, I find to be upstanding individuals, and consistent players with whom I have both shared, and gained valuable format knowledge.

I go to college in PA and have attended 4 Bluebell Game Days. I placed 2nd once, but other than that no top 8's. Since I'm home during the summer I haven't had much vintage play recently but I was fairly active when I was back at college. I play with some of the best vintage players I know including Vito, Joe Brown, Joe Pace, Chris M., and Beaver I think that makes me a "PA Player" so here are my choices:

Vito Picozzo
Matt Elias
John Jones

Thanks guys, I like my chances too.  The only mistake Jeff makes is deciding what deck to play, so I think he's a good canidate.  Joe Brown it is.  honorable mentions go to fulmer, potucek and griffiths.

Gents, what I'd really like to know is this: where are the votes for Will Magrann?

He made back to back finals, with a win, and has a top 8 under his belt as well.  A player with three top 8's, including two finals appearances, should be getting at least some consideration.

Since Will Magrann is my teammate, I'd like to enter my votes as John Jones, Joe Brown and Ed Carey.

I think the big question is this:  Why we aren't voting for Vintage's resurrected star? *does double-thumb point at himself*

My votes go down as follows:

Ed Carey (with the guarantee he doesn't play dredge)
Matt Elias (with the guarantee Levi is being watched)
John Jones (please god, no Lich's Mirror)

Based off who has the most high finishes at the Blue Bell/ NYSE tournaments I'm going to vote

Matt Elias
Shawn Anthony
Will Magrann

I also compiled data from the Blue Bell and NYSE results which while it is missing 1 Top 4 Slot and 2 Top8 slots from BBGD 14 is very indicative of who has done well this year at these tournaments.

John Jones (1)(1)(3-4)(3-4)
Josh Potucek (1) (1) (5-8)
Shawn Anthony (1) (5-8) (2)
Will Magrann (1)(2)(5-8)
Shawn Griffiths (3-4) (5-8) (2)
Joe Brown (5-8)(3-4) (3-4)
Brian Carey  (5-8) (5-8) (5-8)
Mike Noble (5-8) (3-4)
Vito Picozzo (5-8)(5-8)
Josh Butker (5-8) (5-8)
Jason Koresko (5-8)(5-8)
Jeff Folinus (2)
Stephen Nowakowski (3-4)
Ed Carey (1st)
Keith Seals (3-4)
Brad Granberry (5-8)
Chris Materewicz (3-4)
Justin Kohler (5-8)
Dave Reitnauer (5-8)
Matt Elias (5-8)
Ryan Glackin (3-4)
Allen Fulmer (2)
Jeff Folinus (5-8)
Rob Edwards (3-4)
Dominic DiFebo (2)

The only problem with raw data such as this is that it is influenced significantly by the amount of tournaments that were played in by each person and breaking down such is difficult, for instance, Matt Elias has played in very few of the 11 tournaments this year that I used to compile this data and therefore he logically doesn't have as many high finishes as other players.  With that being said, I personally have played in only 5 Blue Bell and NYSE events and am tied for having the 2nd most top8s.  I know Shawn Anthony has also played in very few tournaments but has the exact same resume for the year as myself giving him my vote as well.

In no particular order; Joe Brown, Shawn Griffiths, Matt Elias. That is all.

It could literally be 3 random players from that list, and I'd put money on PA to win.
