to be completely honest, Team Hangley is possibly going to have some of the biggest assholes of all time on it.  You want to be harassed and have to listen to me drunkenly sass my opponent while dressed as pooh bear you have got yourself a deal my good man!

I definitely cant miss this now!

That is the art for the shirts and playmats.  Sadly, it will not be in color.

I believe it's been Ray's custom to use cards in the deck of the previous TMD Open's deck for the playmat of the subsequent TMD Open. IIRC Joe Brown won TMD Open 14 playing shops, so this would be consistent with that.

Yup...and Joe is, as a result, the only one who doesn't have to try hard to get one of these super limited playmats...he just gets one for being awesome.

I don't suppose anyone is coming up from Atlanta with a spot in their car?  Or wants to split gas?

Innistrad is due to be released September 30th, so I would expect it to be legal for the Open.

Vintage is a lovely format, it's too bad so few people can play because the supply of power is so small.

Chess really changed when they decided to stop making Queens and Bishops.  I'm just glad I got my copies before the prices went crazy.

Also Ray, I may be interested in paying for a color version of the playmat if that is something you could work out with the printer.

Same, that art looks flipping amazing! Maybe have it take up the whole mat too if it doesn't already.

(Of course, my goal is for TMD 16 playmats to contain many of the same cards plus a Slash Panther!)

Just a quick question on proxies. While I did read the proxy rules in the link provided, I was given a link to a site that custom makes proxies using actual MTG cards and wanted to know if these would be acceptable? The site has a "how-to" guide on the process used to make them and this is the link directly to it:

http://www.theproxyguys.com/how-its-made.html

I only ask because these are some particularly sweet looking proxies (Especially in foil for the Power) and would love to use them in this or any tourney for that matter.

As long as they are indistinguishable in sleeves from other normal magic cards they are okay.  Be sure to make sure that foil proxies don't warp(we had that issue come up last year).  I would run them by the head judge when you get to the event and if he says they are ok, then they are ok.

Very good then. Thank you for the quick and very clear answer on that. I've been wanting to use better looking proxys for tourneys rather than using Plains + Sharpie (If I can't afford the Power, I'd at least like the fakes to look like them) so I'll have to see what they look like as far as texture goes.

JACO hit me up from the VIP room at Spy Bar last night as he was throwing 100 dollar bills and Beta Islands off the balcony. AKA, he was going bonkers about going to the TMD Open....... He even got the DJ to give a shout out to all the MTG ballers in the Midwest!

On the Demarsian scale from 1 to 10..... This tourney is going to be off the meat rack!

Anyone have room in their car for one skinny Asian? I'd take the trunk if an oxygen tank is provided. I'd be more than willing to pay my share of gas and lodging with American cash monies, Magic cards, or Star Wars cards.

I'm really looking forward to this event.

Anyone know what the closest hotel is?  I'm thinking about staying over and playing both days.
