I'm probably not going, and wouldn't be that helpful as a player for any team, but I'll gladly engage in bets on which decks can and cannot possibly win TMD 15 Combo Elves will NEVER win a TMD Open (Except in the case of extreme variance)

Is there a Team Midwest/Meandeck if Demars, Mastriano and Menendian are going?
Mastriano does not count for Team Midwest unless America's geography has dramatically changed or we're really being loose with this, in which case I expect to be able to play for Team Greece, Team Romania, Team Germany, and possibly Team Israel (EDIT: and Team Korea by marriage!)

I forgot Paul lives in Virigina. Maybe another midwesterner is going and could replace him.

No worries, I assure you that my comment only has to do with being fair to the rules and boundaries of geographic assignment and not any concerns about such a team's player quality.

I laughed out loud. We're good and I feel good about this. EDIT: Team NY is in its prime now. I know that I am. And I don't think Raf would appreciate being called a relic...

Oh a Waterbury. I'll probably show up, not put enough work into practicing, lose to people actually still play vintage, get mad and blame variance, get drunk with jimmy hangley, and then show my apparent mild autism by remembering random magic facts and crushing team myriad games in the trivia challenge.

I was on the fence until I saw Menendian was coming. Now I will try very hard to make it.
The Meandeck brain trust will ship you a sicko deck too. Demars is brewing up a sick one. Is there a Team Midwest/Meandeck if Demars, Mastriano and Menendian are going?
Yeah -- Meandeck will undoubtedly field that team.

Then I propose I fly in LSV, Matt Sperling, and Owen for "Team PA"
Or at least we should have Team Mid-Atlantic if we're using geographic regions. NY/NJ/PA vs Midwest vs New England (I included them on here for the LOLs because it's their home area)

IN, as long as the requirement is playing drunk and berating anyone within three matches from my match.

IN, as long as the requirement is playing drunk and berating anyone within three matches from my match. I'd be down for that. Plus Team New England didn't want me on their team even though I placed better than all of them at Grudge Match 3 (even counting the Rd1 loss for being late). Zing...

Holy shit holy shit I am so in for this.
EDIT: By the way (nitpick, sorry) the thread title is October 8, 9 but the tournament is listed in Ray's post for Saturday the 9th Sunday the 10th - just to clarify, the tournament is on Saturday the 8th and Sunday the 9th, right?

On my calendar. Very strong probability of me being there for this. It has been way too long since I've made it to a TMD open.
