From mtgsalvation.com:

Skaab Ruinator  1UU

Creature - Zombie Horror
As an additional cost to cast Skaab Ruinator, exile 3 creature cards from your graveyard.
Flying
You may cast Skaab Ruinator from your graveyard.

5/6

Blue Madness anyone?  For some reason I like aggressive blue creatures.  Probably not super awesome, but it could find a few slots in some janky decks.  Kinda cool that you can cast it from the yard.  It seems fun more than effective though.

I was going to post this here but wasn't sure.

I even prepared a text but then I dropped the idea of posting it.

Here is what I remember

- Vial it in
- Works well with sacrifice abilities: Cursecatcher, Qasali Pridemage, Mogg Fanatic, Skullclamp, Voidmage  Prodigy
- Great copy target for Phantasmal but also for Metamorp so watch it! Late game, you have 2 creatures in grave, you draw Phantasmal Image? With 5 mana you get a 5/6 flyer. Play as a 0/0, then exile 3 etc.
- Bazaar/Madness yea, should be fun and interesting
- Faerie Macabre, Street Wr and maybe others work nicely too while having utility
- It's blue Smile
- 5/6 Flying blocks everything out there

If you can manage to design a deck that gets creatures in the grave rather quickly WHILE doing disruptive stuff, 3 mana is really good for a 5/6 flyer clock that COULD come back.

The main problem for this card is that you will only be able to cast 1 so you can probably just run 2x main deck. Well in a normal build at the least. If funky stuff happen, and with this I mean fill up your grave at high speed, then you could play more but I don't think you can do the necessary interaction with the opponent.

Yeah TMD mods need to figure out how this works a liittle better.  This is in the creative deck category for some reason.  I get that its not a great card, but seeing that it is probably 1 mana too expensive for a Dredge deck to consider casting it from the yard, it seemed fitting to discuss it at least.

From my understanding I was putting up this single card up for vintage discussion, not promoting a creative deck.  Now im confused...  Do we post new cards up in the "Vintage Deck Discussion" forum, or do we post them in the "Vintage Strategy Discussion"?

The quality of the card should have no bearing for classification purposes.  Where do we post these at gentlemen?

Works nice with unearth, confidant and lots of discarders out there (buried alive, zombie infestation, intuition, careful study, avatar of discord...). And then add bloodghasts, and maybe bazaar+squees to have a draw engine and maybe you would have a quick beater with a great problem: rely too much on graveyard.

Good design, I like it.
