Blue Bell Game Day #18!

    Saturday, October 22nd, 2011
    Alternate Universes
    1530 DeKalb Pike
    Blue Bell, PA 19422

   Vintage Event

        Registration: 11:00 AM (Starts @ 12:00 Noon)
        Entry Fee: $30
        Format: Vintage
K-Value: Unsanctioned, 10 proxies allowed for free. You can purchase up to five more proxies at $1 each.
        REL: Competitive (like a PTQ)
Decklists will be required (and published).

The Prizes: (these prizes are based on +/- 45 players)
        1st Place: Beta Mox Jet
2nd Place: $300 in store credit (or an UL Mox, if I can find one)
        3rd + 4th Place: $120 in store credit
5th-8th Place: $60 in store credit

2011 Player of the Year Race:
The Vintage event will count towards the Blue Bell Game Day Player of the Year 2011.  The Player of the Year plays for free at all of the Blue Bell Game Days the following calendar year!  Players can earn points throughout the year by playing vintage, each match win is worth 3 points, each draw is worth 1 point, and each loss is worth 0 points (just like the swiss points system used in tournaments). Players in the Top 8 will be awarded bonus points based on their finish, as follows:

        1st place: 12 points
        2nd place: 9 points
        3rd + 4th place: 6 points
        5th - 8th place: 3 points

Side Events:

        Single-Elimination 8-Mans!

Start Time: As soon as 8 players sign up.
        Entry Fee: $10
        Format: Vintage
        K-Value: Unsanctioned, 15 proxies

        Prizes:
        1st Place: $60 in credit
        2nd Place: $20 in credit

Prize: dependent on how many players (100% of the entry fees will be given out as "Nick Coss bucks" aka table credit)

The Blue Bell Player of the Year contest has nothing to do with Wizards of the Coast Player of the Year contest.  Do not confuse the two.  This one is for participants in unsanctioned Vintage tournaments held at Alternate Universes in Blue Bell, PA.

Brian Reilly is definitely interested.  Reach out to him on Facebook if you can.  Egan might be as well - I'd reach out to him too.  I know that Jimmy has been working weekends, so he's out.  I'm bringing JP.

Congrats on your finish at States.

Thanks.

I spoke with JP and am aware of your situation. Let all those guys know if you can that I can get them to Blue Bell, or even just home if they want to lock up that spot. I'm 100% committed to going myself, so even if it's an empty car it will still be going.

I need a deck (list).

Seriously, this metagame seems to have gone waaaaay beyond the "generic blue deck-shops-dredge" triangle.  Which is both cool in the sense of "yeah diversity" and unKool in the sense of "I don't have time to even consider playtesting this game can someone send me a list, plz?"

 Very Happy

Yes, I will probably bring at least one dredge noob to this event, maybe up to 3.

I'm thinking about it, and a friend who's rarely gone along might well be in this time around.
Much more keen on showing up to hang out than to play, just can't be arsed with this metagame, AND I've played this year already.
