A few points:

1.  While I played in Nick's first event this year (and will continue to play in his events), I will not play in the Invitational, to be held at the end of the year.

2.  I will, also, not receive any NEV points at any events.  This means that if I finish in the top 16 of an event, the person who finished 17th is going to end up with the points of a top 16 finish, going all the way down the line, depending on where I finish.  Thus, if I won an event, the 2nd place player would get points equivalent to first, 3rd would get points equivalent to 2nd, etc. 

3.  You will not see me play in a New York NEV event this year.  I have now been running events at Brothers Grim for nearly two years, the only time that I played in one of my events in those two years was due to very low attendance.

It has been a large factor in renewing my interest in Vintage and attending New York events. Thanks to the Nicks and congrats to the 10 or so players already Q'ed.

I asked Mr. Detwiler if I could be of assistance at the last TDG event. He agreed, and after talking with Mr. Coss I know the delay is due to corrupt DCI Reporter files from one of the New York NEV events (pretty sure it's this one, but I could be wrong). Everything else is good to go.

Somehow we have to reconstruct an entire NEV event where no match result slips were used and, obviously, no copies of the standings besides the Top 8, er... Top 9 posted there exist.

I've cleaned out this thread and I'm reopening it. Please be aware that we will be closely monitoring this thread going forward.

Even the best Magic players in the world have to deal with the frustration of disappointing tournament results and competing alternatives and obligations outside of Magic. There's absolutely no reason to channel this frustration by being negative towards future events or the hard working TOs who are trying to create these events for those who do have the time, inclination and disposable income to attend.
