I'm moving to North Carolina, looking for a post to steal (JP)

This has been in the works for nearly a month now, but it's finally close to happening.  I can't tell you what it is or my job title, but as soon as every i is dotted and t is crossed, I will happily share.

I love the Northeast, and I'm very sad to be leaving family and friends, but a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity has come up that I simply cannot pass up.   Next week, I will be in my apartment for a planning meeting for my new job, and then looking for housing Friday and Saturday.   In particularly, I want to explore New Bern a bit for apartments.  '

I plan to revive Vintage in the South.  The South is -- quite frankly -- the home of Vintage.  It's where Mono White Parfait began, where Brienne Pope lives, and it is a place where Vintage can return to glory, and I hope to do my part. 

However, I know many of you don't live in that area -- and since no one is available or free next Thursday afternoon, any time Friday, or Saturday to help me explore the area, learn the city, and look for housing or even just grab lunch, I won't to meet with you.  Please don't PM me (no solicitations)

I'm very much looking forward to this next and exciting stage of my life, and I hope that my tenure in the South, however long it may be, will help revive Vintage in that part of the country.

I don't know if this is a joke post or not, but I live in Alabama so any Vintage scene in the South is greatly appreciated. I even have enough Power 9/Staples to play a high tiered deck, and I know somebody who knows somebody down here that has some Power to play with. Be vocal about Vintage, if anything you can get the ATL area into it. They always have something crazy going on up there.

I also can't tell if you're moving or trolling. If the former, welcome! I live in NC too, but in Winston-Salem (about the same distance from Raleigh/Durham as you, but in the opposite direction). The only vintage tournies that've happened in the past few years have been in/around Asheville (other side of the state from you), or here:

Durham shouldn't be too bad of a drive, although their vintage tournies might have come to an end. They used to be quarterly, but i haven't heard about one in awhile. Any rate- kudos to you if you're serious about kickstarting vintage here.

Also... New Bern? I had to look at a map to figure out where you were moving...
