I have been wondering if, as a one of in the sb for the shop mirror, batterskull be better than a 4th precursor golem? It gains u life similar to wurmcoil and can later be equipped to make any creature even huger. Plus the shop mirror shouldnt be playing null rod since it hurts them as much if not more than it does u. U can see my deck in the "Vintage Deck Discussion" thread under "Screw Sphere of Resistance, Workshop Aggro at its Finest."

It's not the worst idea.  There have been a few guys out here who have run it to some success (they made top eight, but did not advance).

Have you seen my list though? It is not like typical shop aggro lists. I think what matters in a deck with no draw engine is consistency. So in turn I run mostly 4 ofs. Running the one of Batterskull would skew that idea but it might be worth it in the long run. I just want to hear people's thoughts about the subject.

Unless the list in question is running Stoneforge Mystics, I would think that Sword of Fire and Ice is strictly superior as a random one of. SOFI can be cast off a single shop and it draws cards, gives protection, and can kill weenies. The only thing that Batterskull has going for it when mystics are not in the equation are that it counts as a creature of sorts with null rod in play.

I like the idea behind SOFI but it does nothing by itself. Should it be ran over a forth precursor golem? Im not sure.
