For whatever it's worth, I still plan on attending this, despite the recent announcement.

I would run and hide in Blue Bell too if I knew a team from Boston was coming.
Also: Just revoke the NEV points and invite from AU, problem solved. Pretty obvious event troll.

Think I'm going to go the the NEV qualifier in Blue Bell instead. More likely to make the event that way...
I'm not happy with the Blue Bell event being scheduled the same day, but what am I supposed to do? Cancel the event? Offer better prizes that run me a loss? Pay some people with free entries in order to get people not to attend Blue Bell? More than anything else, I'm disappointed at the decision, which I was not a part of, to schedule this event on this day. Given that you're already qualified for the event, Tom, and given that an actual NEV event will give out more points than the Qualifier, I'd imagine that you're being facetious. I'd hope that, this being the last NY event, there would still be interest on behalf of some of the southern Jersey and Pennsylvania guys to make the trip. If they all end up going to Blue Bell, I understand. I've gone to my last Blue Bell event. Yes Nick, the post was tongue through cheek. I wasn't aware it was a decision made without input from you and Nick, as I assumed all decisions involving your series would have to go through you two. My mistake.

Depending on whether Coss goes to this or not, I might be a player instead of a vendor for the last hurrah. Either way I'll be there!

I'm still going for obvious reasons but why not make this a qualifier as well? Keep the same prizes except make 1st place an invitation, one last hurah in NY, seems like a great way to celebrate. On a 100% unrelated note, I plan on taking this down.

Looks like Team New England (Boston Specifically) will be heading down with a full car. So we'll see you there!
How full is "full"? I'm looking to make this event and I'm out of southern NH. By the way, this is Tony - I typically play at Myriad in Salem NH, but made it down to Pandemonium one time with Oli, Kyle and Jeff. I know we met but you may not remember me. Hey sorry just saw this... We've got 3 currently with a tentative 4th. But he hasn't really gotten back o us in a while. Are you interested in a spot? If so shoot me a PM for details Edit:so it looks like the new england car has had to back out last minute. *cry* I'm sorry Nick!

Wait...what is that? The planets aligned? And that? That looks like a snowball in hell. Though I have fallen off the Vintage scene for quite some time, the planets have aligned and the impossible is taking place: I will be making it out to this event. A Nick D. event is one of the best things in the world, second only to an orgasm, so I am super psyched.

I've been your T/O for three and a half years, and Grim has been your venue for just as long. Tomorrow we're going to have my last event as a T/O for the foreseeable future, and potentially the last event at Grim. Regardless of how many people show, or who shows, I want to say thank you to everyone who has supported me since I started the N.Y.S.E. Series. You've all been a part of some of the best experiences that I've had with Vintage, and I appreciate all of them.
So, with that said, I hope to see you all tomorrow!

$1,000 in prizes? Seriously. Also, $30 at 10 proxies. If you don't feel like buying the cards that you need in order to play, you can pay $1 per for five additional proxies in lieu of buying the cards for your deck.

I just wanted to thank Nick D for all he has done for vintage in the past few years. I have done a lot of three plus hours trips to his events. Every second was worth it. Every mile was worth it. Any money spent was worth it. I really wish I could be at the last event. Due to managing a retail store this time of year , corporate greed pervents me form doing so. From all of NEPA THANK YOU NICK! @ Nick Keep fighting the russians. @ Asking About $35 entry fee ....LAME!
Happy HoHo and stuff.

considering the rise for the price last time was based on the increased value of power and staples, but this is dealer credit and its about 20-25 cents on the dollar cost to the dealer. anyway... is nyse really ending? is this true?

20-25 cents on the dollar?! Man, I wish people sold me there stuff that cheap!
Good luck to everyone tomorrow. I would have liked to have been there for the last NYSE event, but the wife will not approve any long distance trips with the baby still so long. Someone text me and let me know who is winning tomorrow!

general pricing on the cards to a dealer is 50%, but most of the big things are actually closer to 60-75% based on condition. Add in the fee to the store, to the judge, and a little money for the TO/Dealer, and all of that is used up. If you want bigger prizes, you need to pay higher entry fees.

The breakdown in the dealer credit is such that it's able to purchase the same prizes that were offered before. First gets a piece of power, second gets a Library/Bazaar level card, third and fourth can get a good dual, fifth-eighth can get whatever they'd like with what they have. The margin on power, duals, and other old (expensive) staples is not 50%, and certainly not 25%. Do you know anyone who would be willing to sell their $400 Mox for $100? Yes, this is the last N.Y.S.E. Off the top of my head, this would have been N.Y.S.E. 29 or 30. Comic Book Depot will still run Vintage tournaments, but I will not be the T/O, though I will probably announce all of them for him. In other news, I'm leaving in just a few, and am looking forward to seeing everyone today!

Raf Forino broke out a new Shop brew and beat Dave Gans (Dredge) in the finals. Top four was Egan on his UBW Bomberman build and Rob Edwards on URG Landstill.

Congrats to all who topped!
I won blue bell with UW bomberman yesterday. Sadly with so many other events happening only 8 ppl showed up. It was 3 rounds and cut to finals. I beat dredge, doomsday, landstill, landstill, to win. Still a fun day nevertheless!
Even though I couldn't make it up to NY I want to thank Nick Detwiler for being such a good guy and good TO over the years. I'm sure your contribution will be missed by alot of people...you are the man!
