http://forums.mtgsalvation.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=138599&d=1357708065Biomass Mutation X ( / )( / ) (Hybrid Mana) Instant Creatures you control become X/X until end of turn. I find this interesting as I believe it is one of the spells that breaks the End of Turn Clause. If not, then I apologize, and its more than likely complete garbage, but being able to EOT X for 4+, making my army of snaps/bobs/selkies/other dudes into 4/4's and 5/5's, swing for the win with open mana, seems not too unrealistic. Also seems really interesting for ELVES! as you can easily go turn 3 for a bajiliion mana, and swing ftw. Discuss, thoughts?

Pretty sure it doesnt break "at the end of turn" clause. "Until end of turn" means its effect just vanish at the end of turn. If you Gaint Growth something at the end step, it doesn't keep for the next turn, right?

Well then it sucks. What does a card have to say for it to be able to "lapse" over to the next turn when cast EOT?
Still good for elves I suppose, but probably not much better than an overrun...
Sorry for wasting peoples time.

Something like Kiki-Jiki, : Put a token that's a copy of target nonlegendary creature you control onto the battlefield. That token has haste. Sacrifice it at the beginning of the next end step.

Cards that say "at the beginning of the next end step," like Memory Jar to give another example, will "lapse over".
Cards like this and Mirror Entity are interesting as backup win conditions in Elves, but they're usually not good enough. If the Glimpse of Nature/Skullclamp combo plan is out of the picture, too often you won't have enough mana to effectively use a mana-intensive card such as this one. I will say this card is slightly more playable in Elves because it is on-color, but I don't think it will make any impact in Vintage.

Mirror Entity is very strong in ELVES, should white become a splash color of choice. It's also very easy to cast off Cavern of Souls, and also allows Wirewood Symbiote to go infinite. If the Glimpse / Clamp plan fails, Mirror Entity can be a wonderful back-up plan (especially if it is uncounterable.)

I did notice one interesting thing about this card actually....if for some reason you wanted to swipe your own board...you can do this where X=0, and kill all your creatures?
Don't know how this could be good (outside of something obscure like Protean Hulk/Academy Rector), but none the less is interesting that you can....

You can respond to Oath activation by killing your own Forbidden Orchard tokens! And if that fails, Ray of Command their fatty and Mutate it! Sideboard bomb for Oath.
