I guess we have different goals in mind. Yours is to be at first at the final standings, while mine is to be at first at the end of the event.

Congrats on your finish nevertheless!

Final standings refers to final standings at the end of the event, btw Smile

Final Standings is the thing you print at the end of the tournament, after all of the playoffs had been played out, and are submitted to the DCI in sanctioned tournaments.

Ok I was thinking the final standings at the end of swiss. I just got confused because there was no playoffs in the event you "won". But thanks for clearing it up.

I like where your deck ended up with the hurkyl's and duress effects. Seems like you developed it quite nicely!

Guys, now that we've all discussed the top four split/first place thing (including me), let's stick to the topic at hand (the event).  If anybody would like to discuss this further, please feel free to open up a thread in the Vintage Issues forum.
