Simple question,

Cavern of Souls is not a triggered ability, but what happens if there is a Blood Moon in play. Do you still get to 'name' something as it comes into play? This can be relevant if the Blood Moon somehow gets removed from the game.

Yes you do still name something for cavern of souls.  Blood moon does not prevent as they enter the battlefield effects.  I.e. bojuka bog will come into play tapped, but not trigger to exile a graveyard.

So if I undestood it well, there is a difference between "When x enters the battlefield..." vs "As x enters the battlefield..." when it comes to blood moon, humility, and similar effects).

Yes:
  • "As x enters the battlefield" modifies how a permanent enters the battlefield (Clones, Painter's Servant, Iona, ..)
  • "When x enters the battlefield" is an ability that triggers the moment the permanent enters the battlefield
That's why the former effects aren't affected by Humility/Blood Moon, but the latter are.

"As X enters the battefield" is static ability and doesn't go on the stack.

For example, once Revoker resolves and names your Mox, it is too late for you to float the Mox Mana. I learnt this the hard way!
