    Eternal Weekend #3: Vintage!
    September 7th, 2013
    Tournament starts @ Noon

It's time for more Vintage at Atomic Empire!
    • This is a non-sanctioned constructed tournament where players are allowed 15 proxies in their deck.
    • Rules will be enforced as though this were Competitive REL which means deck lists will be required.
    • We'll play a number of Swiss rounds followed by a cut to either the Top 4 or Top 8 depending on attendance.
    • First place wins 4 Force of Wills (or $300 in store credit) regardless of how many players we end up with. Further prizes will be in store credit and will be determined based on attendance.  Note that we have a large stock of cards, as in HUGE.
**We will also more than likely continue our tradition of starting a Legacy side tournament after round 3 for store credit.  Entry fee is $10.

This 3 day event starts tomorrow!  I'm not sure if we will be streaming fr the fnm event, but saturday and sunday will be on http://www.twitch.tv/atomicempire Be sure to watch!

EDIT: Update to the beer list:
    Quote
    Foothills Oktoberfest
A quick shot of fruit up front in the flavor that is followed very quickly by cocoa and some caramel. Bitterness is on the light to moderate side but does linger through the finish. More toast and bread comes through at the end. Full and sticky mouthfeel.

    Duck Rabbit Schwarzbier
This beer is one shade above black and pours with a fine-bubbled light tan head. Rich mocha aroma is quite appetizing and demands a taste. Smoky flavor has tones of quality roast coffee and sweet chocolate, rather like a good stout. Texture is tingly, lively and fizzy. Finish is chocolaty and slightly sweet.

    Dale's Pale Ale
A dark golden color with an ambitious head for a pale ale, it carries a prominent c-hop aroma. The taste delivers that hoppy flavor, but it is followed immediately with a sweet finish that perfectly balances it.

    Terrapin Pumpkinfest
Spices hit you right from the start, medium in body, and then it mellows out more like a Oktoberfest with the breadiness, caramel and malts.

    Mystery Lockwood’s Retreat
It's pretty malt forward, especially the biscuit malt. Slight touch of citrus, perhaps apricot. Very little hop flavor for an IPA.

    Mother Earth Sunny Haze Hefeweizen
Some wheat, a touch of banana, good but kind of mild.

    Highland Black Mocha Stout
Lots of char initially. Dark chocolate with light berry flavors at points. Medium strength coffee.

    Preacher Saison/Ale
Pours a hazy yellowish orange with a thick, soft, white cloud of head that has great retention. It's far cloudier and darker than any beer of the stlye I've ever had. The nose has notes of white grapes, funky Belgian yeast, fruit, and white wine. The flavor is fruit forward followed by some yeasty funkyness. It has with a mildly bitter, spicy, clove-like finish. There is just a hint of alcohol in the finish when the beer warms. The mouthfeel is medium bodied, smooth, dry, viscous, and well carbonated.
