Atomic Empire
3400 Westgate Dr. Durham, NC 27707

Here is a link for directions to the store.  As you can see it is right off 15/501, very close to both 40 and 85.

Vintage Tournament (Unlimited Proxies Allowed)

Saturday, April 12th
Noon

$5 Entry Fee

Vintage Format (No limit on proxies)

1 and ½ Packs per attendee added to the prize pool

Don’t have enough Vintage cards to play in the tournament during Eternal Weekend? No fear. We are hosting a Vintage Tournament that allows UNLIMITED proxies. Come play and have some fun in this broken format.

I haven't confirmed it yet but I believe we will be streaming once again at Twitch.tv/AtomicEmpire.

Once again we will have plenty of beer on tap as well as a massive in store stock of Magic cards!

Sorry for the late posting, just noticed this wasn't up yet.  Hope to see you guys out there.

We had 10 people turn out for our first unlimited proxy event!  The biggest thing to take away was that 8/10 were people who hadn't played vintage at the store before Smile

We played four rounds and paid out to top 5 based on standing.  Meta was almost half Kuldotha Mud with a 4c control, 4c pyromancer, esper Tezz(?), burning oath, bug fish and a vintage Eggs list making up the rest of the field.

Top 5 went (names are almost definitely misspelled);
Kuldotha Mud - Russel Braswell (my only loss)
Burning Oath - Garrett Wiley (me)
Esper Tezz - Logan Wolf (I never played him so I am not certain this is what he played)
Kuldotha Mud - Parker Chocklette
Kuldotha Mud - Clay Westman (also winner of a foil nightveil specter for having the nicest proxies, pic below)

Next time we have a tournament at the store I will make a bigger effort to get pictures.  I look forward to playing with everyone again Smile
