Team Serious Open Results - Columbus

We had 18 players in Columbus on Saturday, a lighter turnout than I had hoped, only heightened by Ryan Seeley's flight being cancelled. Sorry you couldn't make it Ryan!

Still, the event was a fun time, and we had several new players from Indiana and Michigan. New players are always encouraging, and I hope we'll see some return visits at upcoming tourneys.

As is usual for these events, the top eight players split the prize pool in the interests of getting delicious food. The top eight after round five were:

Metagame
Again, I don't have all the decklists, so I can only give a general impression of the metagame. The only Shops and Dredge decks I saw both made T8.

There were several different combo lists (preying on the lack of Shops, no doubt): Regrowth Gush, Rector Flash, GitLong, Burning Oath, Golden Gun Oath, Tezz Helm. Both Oath decks, Tezz Helm, and Regrowth Gush made T8.

There were a few different aggro-control lists: two or three Esper lists, and a few BUG or 4C lists with Deathrite Shaman.

I don't remember seeing any non-blue decks. Feel free to add to this if you played or saw something I missed. Obviously almost half of the tournament is listed below.
