I tried dimir charm a couple of times and couldn't get the best from it :/ But it could be great in a heavy control deck.

Hello everyone. I had a great time last weekend playing at Kidforce. Hopefully we can get more people to play on a consistent basis. I played a standard Merfolk list with a sideboard expecting MUD and Oath decks. I didn't see any Oath or at least I didn't play against any. Here is my decklist:

Lands
9 Islands
4 Cavern of souls
1 Strip mine
4 Wasteland

Spells
1 Black Lotus
1 Mox Sapphire
3 Null Rod
4 Cursecatcher
8 lords
4 Silvergill Adept
2 Merrow Reejerey
3 Phantasmal Image
2 True Name Nemesis
1 Waterfront Bouncer
4 Force of Will
2 Daze
3 Mental misstep
1 Steel Sabotage
1 Flusterstorm
1 Ancestral Recall
1 Time Walk

Sideboard
4 Graffdigger's Cage
3 Steel Sabotage
2 Swan Song
1 Misdirection
1 Tormod's Crypt
3 Dismember
1 Ghost Quarter

For next time I would add one TNN and cut a Reejerey. I used Ghost Quarter a couple of times but I might make that a Jitte in the sideboard. Thanks everyone

I like Dimir Charm a lot in my list, though it rarely came into play this tournament. I did pitch it to Force a few times, and killed one Bob if I recall correctly. I also had it up for Tinker/Yawgwill in game 3 of the 4th match with Force backup on top of that, which felt pretty nice. Those 2 slots were flex slots in the deck for a while, and I wanted both the potential to counter and have spot removal (which the deck lacks), and Dimir Charm ultimately fit that bill. I've also used the third mode as a pseudo-time walk before when games start to go long, which is the goal usually.

Llawan didn't come in for any matchups unfortunately, since I played Workshops, Keeper, Storm, Storm. However, with Merfolk on the rise and Delvers, Cliques, Mages (both Trinket and Snapcaster) almost everywhere, Llawan is a strong sideboard card in the current meta I think.
