Hey guys, my name is Greg Kraigher.

I've been playing magic for over 20 years now, and have been going to the Vintage World championships since 2005.  I have a top 8 appearance under my belt (2012), and am mostly known as a Mud player.  Although I have been known to sleeve up dredge as well.

I used to live in Chicago, where we had a solid vintage community (in the burbs).  Right now, I am in Atlanta, but I think I will be moving up to Detroit near the end of this year.  I have heard Kevin Cron's pod cast and he mentions there are tournaments in the Grand Rapids area.

I am writing this post to make an inquiry about Vintage in the Michigan and Ohio area, so if I do make this move, I will have something to do with some of my weekends.

I might come across as a troll in the forums sometimes, but I am a very considerate magic player.  I have been in every possible scenario, from making amazing plays to complete face plant punts.  I take the game seriously, but understand that it is still a game and have a lot of fun both winning and losing.  I would consider myself to be a positive addition to any magic community.

Any links or tournament organizer contact information would be greatly appreciated.

Paul Kim (hitman) organizes tournaments in the Detroit area at Eternal Games in Warren.

Brian Demars (forests failed you) and Ben Perry (ShamanBen) organize in the Detroit area at RIW.

Grand Rapids also has events sometimes. I think Kevin Cron (CHA1N5) and others are up that way.

I organize the Team Serious tournaments in Ohio, in Berea and Columbus.

You can check the Midwest Tournament boards for events and see who's putting up announcements. Usually (in Ohio, anyway) we try for at least an event a month. You can get about the same in Michigan it looks like.

Good luck on the move! Let us know how it pans out.
