Sad news from Denver.  Black Gold, which had been running weekly sanctioned Vintage and more recently had swapped to bi-weekly Vintage, has dropped support entirely due to lack of attendance.  Now, the store is still running Legacy, which is cool, but Denver used to boast the most frequent sanctioned Vintage anywhere, and now we can't.

Obviously, we cannot have that.  I am trying to spearhead some work to get Vintage back on the weekly or at least bi-weekly map again.  There are a few challenges, of course; finding a store who will pick the torch back up (Black Gold is certainly willing) and putting in the time to try and ensure attendance is high enough so that the store keeps it up.  Right now, I'm busy collecting e-mail addresses of Vintage-ready players in Colorado to compile a mailing list and start exchanging ideas.  There are at least two stores who would run the event if the people were there in the South Denver metro area, but I think it will take some community organizing to keep the heart pumping.

If any of you folks happen to play Vintage in Denver, drop me a line with your e-mail address so I can add you to the mailing list.

Hey there, I am up in the Boulder area and my Legacy playgroup is starting to acquire power to start playing vintage. I would like to get on the mailing list and would definitely like to start going to events at some point. Maybe the best way to drum up interest is have unsanctioned proxy events to start and get people excited? Let me know!
