Thanks to a Jaco's initiative on a very interesting series, I have published an article at Eternal Central sharing my approach to the recent unrestriction of Gifts Ungiven:

This list seems close to what I would play too except talrand seem outdated with mentor. I would add hurkyl's, top, and find room for 2 mentors if it were me. The manabase would be a bit worse with white, but not a big deal.

Did you see yourself needing to Gifts for lands to warrant the Snow-Covered Island? I guess it dosen't hurt but seeing the times it actually comes up seems to be an interesting thing to consiter.

During two afternoons of testing and the tournament I gifted for lands just once (was lacking the black producer to win via Will). But the Island issue never occurred.

However, having a snow-covered island when there is no functional difference (but aesthetic one) seems reasonable. I recall having gifted for lands several times in the past, so as I comment, it does not hurt to play it just in case.

Additionally, you will always remember that game you won thanks to SCI Smile
