Entomb seems bad, I don't like it.

I agree with you.  I've tried to make decks based around entomb a long time ago, but the problem with the card is how bad it is on its own.  A much better way to fill your yard is Intuition.

Not sure about entomb or red rituals...those all seem bad and off-color.  Whatever deck breaks this, it should be base-blue, with lots of counterspells, draw spells, and other blue goodies.  The only real problem with this card is that it's not blue to pitch to FoW.  There are probably other blue spells that just win better.  But if we go with Enter the Infinite, it might be okay since that is blue.  I'm hard pressed to see this card doing much though, because if it ain't blue, it's not worth playing.

Well, aside from Monastery Mentor and Young Pyromancer and Ingot Chewer and Lodestone Golem, the majority of cards in Dredge and Shops, Pyroblast and Swords to Plowshares, and Lightning Bolt. Thalia, Spirit of the Labyrinth, and Mother of Runes top 4'd Top Deck Games Vintage event last month. The deck was even running a singleton Odric, Master Tactitian. Managorger Hydra just top 4'd Bloomsburg. And then you know Griselbrand and Emrakul and Seeker of the Way and Deathrite Shaman and Bob and Blightsteel Colossus and Slaughter Games and Containment Priest, but do you recall the most famous nonblue card of them all? (Dragonlord Dromoka).

Oh, sorry, just realized you wanted to passive-aggressively whine about an issue a very small number of Vintage players think is an issue at all and has been discussed ad nauseum (seriously) in its own thread. That is so easy to discover that it suggests conspicuousness or little need for perspicacity in the observer. you would happier in Modern where the recent top 8 had G/R Aggro, Burn, Zoo, G/R Tron, Infect, Amulet Bloom, Elves, and Abzan in the top 8. Sounds like fun interactive Magic, color diversity, etc...

"Why are we making bad decks? I mean, honestly, what is our reason for doing this?"

"Is this a Vintage deck or a Cube deck?" "Is it sad that you have to ask?"

"Is that a draft deck?" "Why do people keep asking that?"

Matt, you forgot Yawgmoth's Will, also a non-blue card - and an equivalent to Mastery into Pr. Counsel Razz

I really think something like 1 Counsel, 1 Enter, 3-4 Mastery, 1 Tendrils/Empty the Warrens, TfK, Baby Jace, Gifts/Intuition, could amount to something. I know trying to win by resolving a 4CC spell isn't the best nowadays, but who knows? Jace can give Mastery flashback so you can try again... I don't know, I guess it's worth trying at least.

I don't know if Bazaar is the best, though. It works on Dragon because your wincon costs 2 mana. Mastery costing 4 makes me think wasting a land drop can be bad.

Precautionary preorder of playset at discount rate. Could be $10 wasted, or could be a bargain.

Even if this card is not played in Vintage, it's an amazing casual card and will have some value for sure.

While I love that everyone seems to have rushed to add this to their storm lists, was I way off base in just thinking this could be a good one or 2 of in decks running baby Jace? It combos very well with him, letting you pitch it from hand and then cast it from yard to cast something else for free. Maybe it does not have to be as game ending as enter the infinite, just recasting a treasure cruise for free can be game ending.

I mean, even if you use this to recast a 2 mana spell, it is regrowth that is more on color for more lists, so it seems fine even in that capacity.

The problem is that Regrowth is normally used for Gush, FoW, Ancestral and Lotus. Also, Regrowth doesn't exile the spell. So Mizzix's doesn't help that at all. And paying 3R to recast Cruise in a deck with Jace Prodigy, where you can pay U to recast that same spell, doesn't seem that good. I know, this is cool to recast a countered Y. Will or a Tinker or Gifts or whatever, so yeah, it can be used as a 1-2 of for value, I guess. But I don't know, if I'm trying to resolve a 4cc sorcery, I want it to end the game.
