Playing painter you had fow alive, and next turn you could play y.will if you needed to, and tgz would be better (since he would have potentially 2 cards in hand).
Unless y.will was supposed to give more advantage, I see no upside to play it just for the irrelevant ritual... But this idea is yours, I just read it in your report
