The Democrats will have serious problems erasing the two hundred million dollar war chest that the Republicans have to keep Bush in power.  That's a whole lot of money - you can bet that every other ad in October will be slamming Kerry in the key swing states.  It may just be enough to tip the balance - it is that close, and probably will be in November barring something stupid.

As far as Libertarianism goes, whatever happened to 'I don't want to have to expend any of my resources defending or securing anyone else's life or liberty?'  It could just be for selfish reasons after all Very Happy.

I remain hopeful.

The selfish explanations get me much less worthwhile and debatable feedback than the general good explanations. For some reason people think I'm less important than the rest of the country. WhatEVER.

Oh man, this is so incredibly off topic, but I have to share this with someone: just today I got a credit card application in the mail for a bona-fide DNC Visa card!  You automatically get a 1% rebate on all purchases that can either be credited to your account OR will automatically be donated in your name to the DNC.  It says "The Democratic Party" in big letters on it across the top over a background American flag.

I am soooooooo tempted to get one.  It gives whole new meaning to the term "card-carrying member of the Democratic Party".  And think: what if I tell them I need a hundred-million dollar limit that I fully intend to use all of, then declare bankruptcy?  Sure, I go bankrupt and all, but the DNC would owe me BIG time and I'm sure we could work something out.  HOW COULD I POSSIBLY LOSE??!?!?!  Wink

Here that, all you Sauceless Ones? Your Patron Saint believes in credit card fraud.

BTW, Sauce, I think you might wanna read the contract very carefully before tryin' that. I somehow doubt they allow such shenanigans. :-P

A quote from the first episode.  You certainly get props on that one!
